I had my rhinoplasty almost 6 months ago now. My nose was very hooked and long, I wanted to change it mainly from the side profile as i wasn’t too bothered about the front. I decided to go with Dr Omer after finding his page on instagram. I noticed he had lots of nice results posted which is what interested me but not many reviews online.
I communicated with his team online, scheduled a consultation with Dr Omer in the UK and booked the surgery for the month after. During the consultation I felt that the Dr had quite a hostile tone and he repeated told me my nose was very large and did not fit my face, which i already knew, why else would i be meeting with him. However it is the way he kept mentioning it as if he wants to make sure you feel much more insecure and definitely do the surgery. But then again that could be due to the language barrier and that he only wanted to get his point across. The Dr told me that no one would notice that i had a nose job which very true not even my close friends noticed even though my nose did indeed change drastically.
The payment method was a deposit online and the rest is paid before the surgery in cash. Medications and a few other stuff such as the blood test was not covered with the amount you pay and they do not tell you that beforehand but luckily i carried cash with me. You are expected to pick up your medication from the pharmacy yourself so make sure you do not do it on a weekend as many pharmacies are shut (i had to get my meds delivered from a pharmacy far from my hotel).
Whats nice is that his assistants give you a list on whatsapp of affordable hotels that are close to the hospital. Transport is also covered with the full amount you pay, however, i had a few complications such as very sudden gushing blood and horrible bruising which was uncommon since he used an ultrasonic method and that required me to have an emergency meeting with the doctor at the hospital (during my healing period, day 5) and i had to pay myself for the taxi to the hospital and back to the hotel a few times. The doctor said that what happened to me was very rare and unexpected, he said there may be a problem with my blood but shouldn’t they have known that after doing my blood test before the surgery…? By the way, when i had my consultation with the Dr in instanbul, you usually get the surgery the same day but i had it the day after (was told he was busy). Personally everything went smoothly during the consultation in Instanbul (he was much nicer than in the Uk).
I arrived to the hospital in the morning, got ready for the surgery and only saw the dr for 1 second where he touched the bone of my nose and left, i feel like it would be much more proper that the doctor checks the nose internally and externally way before the surgery to have a better idea about how he’ll change it, but what do i know, im not a doctor. He also did not see me after the surgery to show me the table pictures or to speak with me (i thought he would since many doctors do that with their patients.) I personally think my nose turned out larger than the photos i was shown from the photoshop of how it’ll turn out but that is also definitely because of the swelling. It still hurts if i scrunch my nose or touch it. My nose skin is very dry and flaky but i keep it moisturised. My nose gets congested and sometimes smells but was told it’s normal, it also looks very weird at the septum but was also told that’s normal…
Overall i’m happy with the results but i do wonder sometimes if i wouldve been happier with a different doctor where i couldve had my nose smaller. Dr omer is very serious about natural results which is amazing but because of that he did not make my nose as small as i wanted and from the front it looks downturned while from the side it’s upturned so that confuses me but the doctor said it is normal and it’s meant to be like that because he did not cut any skin off. Oh well, I don’t think i will get a revision because my main concern was the hooked shape and bump which are both gone now, overall i recommend Dr Omer but definitely speak your mind and ask every question you have, i suggest you prepare a list of questions before your consultation because i personally forgot all the questions i had on the day. Also the aftercare is quite good, they expect you to send photos almost every 2 months where they give you new instructions for your healing.
Keep in mind this is my personal experience and i’m quite underweight and young so that could be the reason for the complications. Overall if you are looking for natural results and a quite fast recovery, Dr Omer is recommended by me!
