It’s Hard for Me to Even Look in the Mirror Now..
I had my surgery exactly one year ago. I’ve given myself time to heal. I’m so disappointed and distraught over how my results turned out. I can’t tell if I’m still EXTREMELY swollen or an excessive amount of scar tissue has formed. My nose is wide, crooked and bolbous from the front. I also still have a hump from the side. My breathing is awful and I suffer from constant migraines. I have to pay almost 3x the amount now to have it fixed by another doctor. This whole experience has destroyed my confidence and I hate even looking in the mirror.
Not Happy with my Nose.
I went to this doctor because I saw he did something called “preservation rhinoplasty.” I wish I had looked into it further because there was much better doctors I could have went to in the area, especially for the price I paid. My nose still has a large hump. I thought it was swelling, but 7 months later the hump is just getting larger as the swelling goes down. I also have trouble breathing and my nose is always dry and irritated. I have constant migraines. There is a lot of scar tissue that almost gives me a beak appearance. They were very kind before the surgery, but afterwards they stopped answering any emails with questions I would ask. I would call and they would say they’d talk to the doctor and email me with a response, but would never get back to me. I told the doctor I was unhappy and he said he would fix it. However, after multiple post op appointments it was clear he had no plan too. He just kept saying come back in three months, your nose is “getting better.” I consulted with other surgeons and they all said closed rhinoplasty is good in some cases, however the tip usually ends up falling and in my case I probably needed an open rhinoplasty. I can see my tip drooping again when I smile. Also my right side is very uneven and my nose is more crooked than before. If you are looking for VERY subtle changes to the nose, this doctor may be a good choice. However, if you have a large dorsal hump, crooked nose, droopy tip, too much projection, etc, he is not a good choice. I now have to pay 15k to fix my nose. Waste of money and time.
