The nose journey

I’ve literally hated my nose my entire life! Imagine caring what you looked like at 8 years old. I’ve learned to smile in a way that my nose didn’t look as big or the good side ???? the angle that didn’t make my nose look big. My nose was broken by n abusive ex over 20 year ago. I have always had issues and a complex. 99% of my selfies are from a side angle. I finally decided it was time to do something about it! I had been researching for months, trying to figure out who, when and where. I was please when I found Dr. Parhiscar on Real Self and he was local too so that was a plus. When I met him I could tell that he was genuine, kind and out for your best interest. He was realistic on what I could expect, I left feeling confident that Dr. Parhiscar was for me & my nose lol. I ended up choosing a earlier than planned (mentally) surgery date and said might as well. Gonna hurt regardless right? The days leading up I was nervous, that overwhelming fear of what if I don’t wake up and my kids are left motherless all because I hate my face! The day of surgery my sister drove me over, she sat with me until I was wheeled away. I laughed and joked around having a blast with the staff at the surgery center. Dr. Parhiscar came in we chatted for a second and he said I’ll do fine and he knows exactly what I want, I told him several times I don’t care what I look like as long as I wake up! (I’m so dramatic). When I woke up I thought to myself yassss I’m alive still & then ouch and ugh I feel queasy. The recovery room nurses were cool, once I was alert I was like where’s my phone ???? She said honey don’t text anyone you might not remember anything u say! I was like oh I’m gonna remember!!!!! Doc came in and pulled out my packing! (Heck yes) shortly wheeled to my sisters car. Long story short, the recover process has been interesting & frustrating. I also elected to have a turbinate reduction due to inflammation. My swelling is awful but expected to a point. I got my cast of yesterday, HEAVEN ????????. Still can’t exactly breathe but making progress. Anyway I’m rambling, I love my doctor, he is absolutely the sweetest doctor ever. My nose is still swollen but I can only imagine how perfect it will be once the swelling goes down. Literally life changing.
