New Nose is a New Life

My receding chin was a source of ridicule ever since I was in high school. I need not elaborate on the nicknames I got! After getting an employment, i decided to make use of my paycheck to get chin implants. Then the dilemma and confusion started! Checking Doctors in Egypt, in Turkey, in Thailand, in Dubai ....etc., and reading hundreds of reviews! I even had a consultation with a Doctor in Miami, FL but was way too expensive for me. Some doctors apparently had stereotyped fake reviews, and these I automatically eliminated. Then came the dilemma of costs! Doctors who offer free consultations were crossed from my list...why should they give you a consultation for free except to lure you into an expensive surgery? I was on the point of giving up when a friend mentioned Dr Wilson. He had impressive credentials and his published patient photos were genuine. I had to wait 3 weeks for an appointment, but it was worth it. The Clinic is very punctual, spotless and in an upscale neighborhood of Cairo overlooking the Nile. The initial consultation lasted 35 mins, and he recommended a simultaneous nose reduction to restore the aesthetic harmony. He even generated computer images to show me what the expected outcome would be. Furthermore, the price was very competitive, contrary to other greedy Doctors out there the market. I also liked that he performs the surgeries in the operating suite next to his consulting office, just like Doctors in the USA. After careful consideration, I scheduled a surgery with Dr Wilson 3 weeks after the initial consultation. I insisted on general anesthetic because I have zero pain tolerance, and the hardest part was breathing from my mouth for 2 days after the surgery. When the nose packs were removed, it was like a huge weight lifted from my chest. It took me a few weeks to get accustomed to my new face, but the compliments from all my friends and colleagues really boosted my morale. When the swelling subsided, I fell in love with my new face. Dr Wilson was right all along, the chin implants and the nose job complimented each other. As you see, my parrot face became a more human one! But I had to wait 10 weeks for all the swelling to go down. I am genuinely happy that I had the surgery, and even more happy that I chose the best honest surgeon for it. Although he has a modest online presence, I think this is an advantage....he is old school and prefers the mouth to mouth recommendation rather than the massive advertising campaigns. And ultimately his superb results speak for themselves.
