Six weeks out from surgery and I am happy with the results of the revision rhinoplasty performed by Dr. Harun Acipayam. The entire process was comfortable and went smoothly. They provided a shuttle from the airport to the hotel, and back. Eight days of hotel accommodations were also provided. I came from California, so I was a bit nervous about the process and safety, but Dr. Acipayam’s team was communicative along each step of the way from securing a shuttle pickup and drop off according to flight details, hotel booking, and clinic and surgery center locations. They were responsive even after the surgery when I returned home. We communicated via WhatsApp.

The surgery center and doctor’s clinic are a 10 min cab ride from the hotel. Dr. Acipayam’s team at his clinic and at the surgery center were all very attentive, patient and comforting. I was lucky enough to pick my surgery date which was great because I scheduled a vacation in Turkey and wanted to plan the surgery at the end of my vacation.

 

One thing I noticed with Dr. Acipayam’s work is that he tends to make male nose straight and female nose with a slight tip projection which creates a slight curve out. I asked the doctor for a straight nose that looks as natural as possible. He said he will make a cute nose that looks natural. While my nose looks natural, and still looks cute, it appears to have a slight curve and tip projection which is against what I specifically asked for. Thought I’d mention this if it may be of any concern to anyone. Overall, I noticed that Dr. Acipayam’s work is turning away from the trendy up-turned Disney princess nose. This is specifically why I chose him as my doctor because I personally do not prefer an up-turned nose. His recent work appears more natural. I almost wish I asked him to give me a male nose so that he will make the bridge as straight as possible with no tip projection. Sometimes it appears straight depending on the angle and in photons. I am hopeful the tip with drop slightly to completely straighten the nose. If not, it’s okay because I am still very satisfied with the overall results.

Hello! really love your results! And im really thinking about having a revision rhinoplasty with the doctor. May I ask for how long did it take before the surgery scars went away? how was the hotel you stayed in? what is the name of it?
Hi, apologies for (very) late reply. The scars around the nostrils went away very quickly. Maybe a couple weeks. The septum scar also went away quickly but there is a faint line that is hardly noticeable. The hotel I stayed at was Tema 242 Hotel. I initially was give a room facing a wall and it smelled like vomit, but paid a little extra for sea view. I think this room is designated for post-op recovery because I too felt like I needed to vomit after the surgery from the pain meds. That only lasted the first night. Luckily I didn’t vomit. I tried hard not to. Breathing slowly and deeply helped. There’s a restaurant in the hotel. I ordered from there daily since it was convenient and the food was good.

Hello, yes I am still satisfied with the results. I think the dr did a great job and would recommend this doctor for rhinoplasty.

Hi, I’m considering a revision rhinoplasty with Dr Acipayam and exactly like you I want a very natural straight nose with no tip projection and no curve at all. I have researched so many doctors in Turkey and they all seem to be doing the same over projected tip and very curved Barbie doll nose - which I don’t want at all. I don’t want a very subtle change

Was just wondering if you had any suggestions on how should approach this with the doctor and if you think I should go ahead with him.

Let the Dr know you want a Natural style nose with no tip projection. Express your concerns. He is skilled at doing both natural and Barbie style.
Hi, how is your nose right now is it satisfying, the most important poit that's posted in his instagram is tip flexibility. How do you find yours after you'd got your nose job with him ?
I am satisfied with the results. While the tip is somewhat flexible it does not press all the way down due to the structural support built under the skin. The results are natural looking and I’ve received many compliments.
