Other than some itching and being ridiculously stuffed up healing has been fairly easy. Minimal pain, by day 3 I had stopped taking prescription pain meds and was using otc Tylenol. My splint came off today and I was so overjoyed with my results. I still have some swelling and am anxious for that to go down so I can get a better idea of what my final result is going to look like. Dr Solomon did an amazing job building my bridge and using an ear graft to straighten and repair my nose. It turned out so much better than I had hoped.

I can see where it’s heading and it’s going to look amazing!!!!!!!!
Thank you so much! I think so too!
I am glad that you are happy with the results. What did he do to modify your nose? Did you have a rib graft??
No. Ear cartilage

Surgery is done. Pain is minimal and manageable. Literally DYING to see results and have my splint off. My nose is bleeding slightly (as expected) and feeling very plugged which is really annoying. My throat seems almost more sore than previous surgeries. Not sure if that’s common with rhinoplasty. But cold drinks and hot tea helps. Pre op anxiety is dissipated and am looking forward to focusing on recovery.

Thank you for updating! Hope recovery goes well and you keep us updated along the way. Super excited to see your results!

The sore throat can be from whatever airway device thy used. Mine was from the spray I used prior to surgery to decrease bleeding. It's annoying for sure but I'm sure it's faded by now. Just be patient - the swelling when you get the splint off is no joke. And it takes a while to subside.
Yes, it’s gone now. Under my splint is soooo itchy.... not sure if you experienced that, if so, how did you deal?
Hmmmm can't remember but I don't think so. My biggest frustration was the blocked nose. My doc said I could gently irrigate with some saline spray and that really helped. You could try taking an allergy pill for he itching it might help. It might be a reaction to the adhesive.
OMG! The nasal blockage! I have never in my life wanted to blow my nose so badly! I've been using some saline spray and it helps a little.
I know! It was terrible until those blood clots came out.
