Cartilage Graft for Retraction Healed
About a week or two ago I went to dr H. to get a graft put in due to my nostril asymmetry.
The procedure was able to be done under local the the help of some laughing gas. They took some cartilage from behind my ear at put it in a pocket in the problem nostril.
I was skeptical, especially since right after it almost looked worse but I could not be happier. My nose looks GREAT. There still might be a little asymmetry, but there was a little pre nose job and honestly you can’t tell unless you’re me!
Super pleased, very happy with the results and i’m so glad Dr. H was so helpful and understanding

Cartilage graft for alar retraction
Today I went in to Dr. H to address my nostril asymmetry.
About 3 weeks ago I went into him to being this up and he agreed he saw the alar retraction. He explained how this occurred and said by taking some cartilage behind my ear and adding it to the rim of my nostril would fix this.
Today I went in to get this done. It was done under local with help of laughing gas. I barely had this about an hour ago. Currently, my nose is extremely swollen so it’s too soon to see results. I will update as the days/ weeks go by.

9 Month Progress
9 Months and I am struggling with enjoying my new nose. The nostril asymmetry has not got better and in my opinion is extremely noticeable. I had some asymmetry before the surgery but it is now much worse and super noticeable.
When I look in the mirror it’s all I can see, I feel like my nose look twisted and insane. I believe I have my next follow up in April, I don’t know what my next steps are. I think I am unfortunately going to need a revision.
I don’t think this is a result of bad surgery, I think unfortunately with my nose and the many issues it just didn’t “stick”
