WORTH IT
Just wanted to post these pictures cause they illustrate the change so well. I finally like my smile without having to second-thought it because of the previous/ old crooked nose. The new nose changed me visually completely.

Good results! What about your breathing? Did it change?
Thanks! Breathing changed at first after the surgery yes. I wasn't used to breathing though my mouth all the time. But the less swelling the nose had the better the breathing became. Now it's close to normal. I've a stuffed nose more of then now. But it's only been around 4 months.
Indeed you look great. You mentioned that breathing is close to normal. I hope your breathing will be as good as before eventually. I wonder which technique he used to remove the dorsal hump, do you have any idea which?
Thanks for posting. Your results look really good. What was the cost, and how many hair grafts did you get?

3 months has passed

So just a few days ago the 3 month mark since my surgery in Istanbul passed. I feel much more at home with my new nose, it’s not “frozen” anymore and the swelling has decreased substantially. The overall shape of the nose is more chiselled in appearance and the tip has slightly lowered, hiding the now larger nostrils. Hair has definitely started growing and is thicker in appearance, swelling around the hair line has gone down. I still have some painful zits around that area and I break out pretty heavily between my eyebrows. I try to take better care of my skin by using a new moisturizer that has some really good pro-skin ingredients and I use a twice a week mud mask to keep impurities at bay. Ever since I started to use the Ketoconazole shampoo my scalp skin has seen a significant improvement, I use Nizoral shampoo ( UK ), but available in other countries under different names. I’m super happy with my overall look and would definitely recommend my doc. Please keep in mind that good results are not guaranteed by any doctor and recovery is individual/ unique to each person. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you’ve more specific questions regarding the plastic surgery.

Rhinoplasty / Hair Transplant

I had my rhinoplasty/hair? transplant with Dr. Guray in March this year, it's only been a few months since and I already see great results! I did a lot of research before I decided on a doctor and this page together with its comments / honest reviews truly helped to go with Dr. Guray. Being from London, the prices in Turkey are going to be much better than they'll ever be anywhere in England. But I still wanted to make sure the quality was excellent and that the surgeon was on the same page as me.
I truly recommend Istanbul for any plastic surgery procedure because it’s such a huge hob for international Medical Tourism - you’ll feel right at home! You see people bandaged up all over town and not once did I receive a weird look.
I've been wanting to change the shape of my nose for years, ever since I was around 14 when the cute childhood nose turned into a more hawk-like crooked version. The hair transplantation was a much later addition to my vanity list of things to do. And the idea of having both made at the same time sounded incredible!
The initial consultation with Dr. Guray came after a long back-and-forth between his assistant Merve (who’s such a nice, intelligent young woman) through WhatsApp and email. I booked everything in about a month ahead, which gave me time to send over images and references for what I wanted out of my procedures. I even got a phone call from Dr. Guray a few days before coming to Istanbul, which calmed my nerves a bit.
The actual meeting/ consultation with the doctor was short. Dr. Guray was reassuring and he had a realistic approach to results and expectations. He speaks very good English, which is a stark contrast to most people in Turkey.
The hair transplant was done on the same day I arrived. I was led downstairs in the Academic Hospital where the procedure was taking place. A "hair specialist" was present, she spoke good English and hung around for a minute but the whole thing was done by her two assistants (not a single spoken word of English FYI) Also for those who are disgusted by seeing a lot of blood; this is definitely not a procedure for you. They draw about 100ml of your blood and put the follicles in it for survival during the 7h long procedure. The local anesthetic is extremely painful and you have to somehow mentally prepare yourself for it.
I had my rhinoplasty with Dr. Guray the day after the hair transplant. They drove me back to the hospital and I got rolled into surgery at around 11 am. You don’t feel any pain, but you wake up with the cast over your new nose and you can’t breathe through it because of the silicone splints holding it up inside. I liked the hospital food. The days after are a bit of a drag since everything’s different/ uncomfortable about your face, you also sort of in a haze after the surgery. Eating is hard at first. Sleeping is horrible for at least 4 - 5 days after. You’ve to sleep upright on your back, which is a direct opposite to how I usually sleep. I had super weird and scary dreams, perhaps a side effect of the general anesthesia.
I stayed at the Mia Barre hotel in the Fulya residential neighborhood as part of my package with Vanity Clinic. The room I got was tiny and a bit stifling if the window was closed, great view from the room though. I liked hearing the Adhan - call for prayer - in the evening. The breakfast was ok but did not exceed expectations, very basic but included in the package price. The neighborhood is probably one of the better in Istanbul but consists of super steep hills and winding, narrow roads. So getting anywhere is quite difficult, especially after surgery, and you’ve to catch a taxi - which is quite cheap either way. But it would’ve been nice to be of walking distance to one of the great shopping malls for the excellent food courts and convenient access to shops. The hotel also lost Wifi/ Internet connection for about 36h during my stay, which wasn't fun.
I truly recommend Vanity Clinic and Dr. Guray. The results so far have been truly amazing, both for the rhinoplasty and the hair. You can honestly tell Dr. Guray has a great, fresh perspective on plastic surgery and aesthetics. My advice to you; get a hotel closer to a large commercial mall (Zorlu Center or Cevahir) for food/ convenience shopping. Ask the doctor all questions, even if they feel ridiculous, better be safe than sorry. Overall a great, rewarding and fun experience in the beautiful city of Istanbul.

You look fantastic. What a difference. You must be over the moon with your results
Hello, I was just wondering if you could please tell me how much your rhinoplasty was? I understand if you don’t want to answer as it’s a personal question but I didn’t know how much it would roughly be to get it done abroad! Nose looks really nice!
