If I Were to Give Him a ZERO - I Would. His Practice is a FACTORY,. 10 Rhinoplasties in 2 Days. 7 Things Wrong.
$18,500
I chose this surgeon because of his reviews. He was difficult to get in to see, and I took that as a sign of quality — if he was busy, he must be good. His online profile was impressive. His reviews were glowing. He showed me morphs from the side only. No front views. I did not know then that front-view morphs are where projection issues and asymmetries live — where a surgeon who isn’t confident in his three-dimensional results will not let you look.
My consultation lasted five minutes. I had waited two hours.
The Morning of Surgery
I arrived at 6:30am. We sat together — the surgeon, his medical assistant, the anesthesiologist and me — to review my goals one final time. I had added detail since my consultation. I wanted him to understand clearly what I needed and discussed: deprojection, removal of the bump, a feminine and refined result.
When I explained my goals, he said — and I will never forget the tone — "I will do my best." Not with warmth. Not with confidence. With frustration. With arrogance. Like I was wasting his time.
Then, just before I went under anesthesia, he came in to tell me: "I did five rhinoplasties yesterday. You’re my first of five today." 10 surgeries in 2 days. I was under for 60 MINUTES! That is it.
The cast was removed by a medical assistant — not by the surgeon. I was already anxious. He came in briefly, apparently to relieve that anxiety. He did not. Because even through the cast I already knew: the projection was still there. The major bump was gone, but my other main goals of a feminine, smaller nose, the reason I paid $18,500 — had not been achieved.
They told me to wait. "It takes a year to heal." So I waited. I had him wrasp the bumps at one at about 5 months. One month of bruising and more pain, nothing. You can see my one year results from one side in the pics because both sides looked completely different and both embarassing.
He said, his words exactly "This is the best I could do. You had a tough nose." After asking several times and getting the office manager involved, I finally received my medical notes. I was under for 60 minutes. He had 4 other people waiting for surgeries. They were patients 6-10 in TWO DAYS.
So I waited, one year and discussed my disatisfaction:
Two completely different side profiles — asymmetric from any angle
Compromised airway — I could not breathe through my nose
Visibly crooked — light doesn’t lie
Pinched nostrils
Dramatically overprojected — the direct opposite of my primary stated goal
Lumps and bumps on the bridge
Retracted columella
He offered to put some ear cartilage into my nose to straighten it and a few other details but being dismissed in my previous consult and the outcome of my $18,500 investment I no longer trusted him. But it gets worse, I listened, and then emailed the Office Manager to get a full overview of the exact plan for a revision. What I got.....SILENCE! No return email, no phone call. EVER!
Please do not go to this surgeon. It was the worst decision of my life. I got a revision from a surgeon who was thoughtful, a team that was caring, that followed up the day of the surgery and many months later.
