My Eyes and Nose Surgery Experience at Ruby Plastic Surgery in Korea
Hi guys I want to share my quick review of plastic surgery in Korea. I'm a foreigner currently living in Korea so I was able to get surgery during this time.
I had double eyelid and rhinoplasty at Ruby Plastic Surgery in Sinsa, Seoul. I found out about this clinic through youtube. I decided to give it a try with consultation and I really liked it. They had a translator so I was able to communicate with doctors and medical staff without difficulties. Clinic was very clean and easy to approach from the subway station. I made a reservation in advance but I had to wait for quite a long time to see a doctor because there were so many patients.
I wanted to have big and clear-looking eyes and a slimmer nose. My surgeon Dr.Hu gave a detailed explanation about the surgery. For my eyes, I had to do a natural adhesion(non-incision method) and ptosis correction and for the nose alar reduction, nose tip, and implant. He said I had to use the donated cartilage for my nose tip to correct my short nose.
About the price, it was affordable to me. I got some discount by having both eyes and nose surgery together. After surgery care and swelling laser was included and I just needed to pay for the medicine from the pharmacy.
On the surgery day, I fasted for 6 hours before the surgery. Dr. Hu designed my face and asked about my desired look in detail. After the surgery, I took a rest in a recovery room. They put an icepack on the surgery area. I also had to put on an ice pack for a few days to reduce swelling.
After the surgery, I went to a clinic twice for after-surgery care. I had swelling laser treatment every time when I visited. On the 7th day from the surgery, I had a stitch out. I still had some swelling but it looked quite ok to me so I was able to do a daily life from then. Now 3 months have passed since the surgery and I really like the result. It looks very natural that people think it’s my own nose from birth.
