My Experience with Dr Zacharia

After an initial consultation with a highly regarded rhinoplasty surgeon in Sydney, I was left disheartened. The doctor advised that achieving my desired outcome might not be possible and presented a 2D profile of what he could potentially offer. Though even he admitted the result might not look ideal. I left that appointment in tears, feeling defeated after saving diligently for years and placing all my hopes on that one consultation. At the time, I hadn’t considered exploring other surgeons.

Several months later, still longing for rhinoplasty, I began thoroughly researching other reputable and accredited surgeons in Sydney. That’s when I came across Dr. Michael Zacharia. I decided to book a consultation, though admittedly, I was nervous given my previous experience.

From the moment I walked into Dr. Zacharia’s clinic, I was warmly welcomed by his kind and professional staff, which immediately put me at ease. I expected a long wait, but within minutes I was in Dr. Zacharia’s office. He attentively listened to what I hoped to achieve, then confidently presented a 3D scan of a proposed outcome. To my surprise and delight, it was exactly what I had envisioned. For the first time, I felt hopeful and excited about moving forward with the procedure.

The day of surgery arrived quickly. Though understandably nervous, Dr. Zacharia visited me in my hospital room beforehand, reassuring me and instantly calming my nerves. His genuine excitement matched mine, which was incredibly comforting. As I was being wheeled into surgery, he held my hand, sensing my anxiety a small gesture that made a big impact.
The surgery went beautifully. Post-op, Dr. Zacharia visited me again to explain everything in detail and even showed me a photo of my nose beneath the bandages. I was absolutely overjoyed with what I saw.

Recovery was understandably challenging with discomfort, disrupted sleep, and bruising which is to be expected with a procedure of this nature. However, throughout the healing process, Dr. Zacharia and his team were outstanding. Any questions or concerns were addressed promptly, often by his incredibly kind and responsive wife. This level of care made a world of difference during such a vulnerable time.

I also underwent LED light therapy at the clinic as part of the recovery package, which supported the healing process.

When the day of the cast removal finally came, I was in awe. My new nose looked stunning. That said, I want to be honest there’s a moment of shock when the swelling makes the result look unfamiliar at first. It’s completely normal to have second thoughts in those early days. But TRUST THE PROCESS swelling subsides gradually, and with time, the full results become more apparent. For me, it took around a year to truly see the final, refined outcome.

Breathing can also feel restricted initially, but again, this improves significantly as the healing progresses so don’t stress!

Now, five years later, I can confidently say that undergoing rhinoplasty with Dr. Zacharia was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The outcome exceeded my expectations, and the confidence I’ve gained is immeasurable.
