I've looked for a rhinoplasty surgeon for 8 years, now. I joined dozens of Facebook groups, WhatsApp groups, looked throughout Reddit, yelp, RealSelf and Google. I consulted with numerous doctors. Documented my deep dive into the world of rhinoplasty surgeons. I would find a surgeon who did great side profile work, but the front view always made me hesitant. I know we can get stuck on our side views, but the front profile is so important and I wanted to find someone who I could trust fully and was on the same page. I found Dr. Schmidt on Reddit. Someone posted their before and after and commented that he was her surgeon. So I went on his website, looked at before and afters and immediately knew I needed to book him for a consultation. He isn't even in my state, it's a two hour plane ride to get to Colorado, but I didn't care because his work was worth it. He focuses on facial plastics and is double board certified. He even does humanitarian work on the side. I loved his artistic eye. If you're looking for a realistic looking nose that won't stand out as uncanny valley, he's the surgeon for you. He takes into account your whole face. He will give you the nose you wished you were born with. Not only is he a great artist and surgeon, but his staff is incredible. Megan and Kaitlyn were the kindest administrators I've ever met. Always promptly answered my emails and calls. They are so sweet and made an anxious process so much more comfortable. My anesthesiologist called me the day before surgery to answer any of my questions and to introduce herself, she was so kind and spoke very highly of Dr. Schmidt and put me at ease about anesthesia. Dr. Schmidt is great at follow up care. He won't do your nose and move on to the next. I received a one day post op appointment and a week check in after cast off. I feel well taken cared for. Recovery was a breeze, I was sent home with an after care goodie bag, chocolates and a bathrobe! I couldn't be happier choosing Schmidt Facial Plastic Surgery. I will be posting my ethnic rhinoplasty before and after once my swelling has gone down.
