Can anyone tell me if it is just swelling or if it will drop?

I Hate my Nose
I got a rhinoplasty last week in turkey and the moment I got my cast off I haven’t been able to stop crying. I feel like I look like a pig, I had a long skinny nose before and now I feel like my doctor has made it way too short and upturned. It is also fat like a snout I’m not sure if that’s just swelling or if it will go down but regardless of the width I’m afraid it won’t drop and I’ll be left with this pig nose. Can anyone tell me if it is just swelling or if it will drop?

Hi there. I can understand the worry but only 8 days later, you should not expect your body to not be swollen. This was major trauma to your face. Be patient with yourself. I had a face lift and upper/lower bleph surgery almost two month ago and dr said i still have some swelling. I hope all heals to our expectations.
Pig nose is common. I am 4weeks post, and it is starting to look normal again. Since noses drop when swelling goes down, surgeons will account fo this which is why it looks upturned. Give it three weeks and you'll be happier. Trust me.
Ok this made me feel a lot better thank you
Hi TattedChic1027 - you can believe what Reserved619174 says. It takes solid month for your face to go down completely. I couldn't believe how beat up and swollen I was, all over. It's a good exercise in mental endurance and well as physical. I've had two facelifts now so I know! You're still young and beautiful, just carry on and ignore the mirror!
Hi love! Your feelings are completely normal after a rhinoplasty I cried for two whole weeks asking myself why I ruined my face! It does drop significantly over the next few weeks and even more over the next 6 months to a year. Unfortunately nose jobs are one of those things that take the longest to heal and you won't know your true result until about a year but you have nothing to worry about!
