Rhinoplasty with Dr Resit Burak Kayan in Turkey Istanbul

I went into the operating theatre before yesterday and everything went well, I had forehead fat grafting and my rhinoplasty. It went really good.
I came out of theatre and Masha was by My side the whole time. She was absolutely lovely and gave me a back massage because I was sore from laying on the bed.
I was able to have some soup and my nose was extremely stuffy. I have to say the surgery is a lot easier than I imagined it to be.
My face is swollen today as expected and I feel like it’s getting even more swollen as I lay here and type. I’m mainting an upright position and trying to eat well, so far only soups everything else is a bit hard to eat with the teeth pain.
My nose is super cute, it’s a little high but I was reassured that it will drop eventually as the swelling goes down and the fat in my forehead looks good so far also it’s still very swollen.
I am patiently waiting out this recovery period
. I’ve been taking some paracetamol twice a day. Not more than that and it helps me sleep.
I have my aircon on 22degrees so it’s a nice cool temperature.

The doctors office is breathtakingly beautiful. Super luxurious, from the decor to the colour scheme and can I just take a minute to mention, that herringbone floor!!!!! simply stunning. I felt like a royal princess in his waiting area. The staff are so friendly and everyone is lovely there. Doctor Burak is so comforting from the minute I arrived I felt at ease. I have been anxious, as expected prior to surgery but I immediately relaxed after speaking with Dr Burak, he is definitely an expert and very professional, he took photos of my nose and gave me realistic expectations, he went through what I will expect to see, discussed with me how I would feel physically and mentally. He addressed every aspect of the surgery, which in my opinion is also as important as the surgery.
He answered all my questions and I had a lot lol.
I advised him I would like to have fat transfer to my forehead chin and under my eyes and he recommended forehead only, he said my face proportions are good and I wouldn’t need anything to my chin or under the eyes. Which is actually lovely that he looked at my face over all and advised me against getting a treatment that won’t suit me. I agreed with him and we decided only a fat transfer to my forehead will be sufficient. Many pictures later and I got to see a simulation of how my nose could look.
Then it was time for me to go on my merry way, i left with a big smile on my face.
I was taken in a fancy van from the consultation to the hotel and the hotel is grand with high ceilings and beautiful decor, wow the place is amazing. I don’t think I want to leave my room either. The view is exceptional I can see all of Istanbul through my window.
I’m so glad I booked a package deal, the ease of having everything taken care of is brilliant, the team looking after me and taking me to and from the place is fantastic. I couldn’t be happier with this surgery from beginning to end.
I got room service delivered to my room, delicious and yess I ate most of my food since I have to be fasting from
Midnight for my morning surgery. Yayyyy how exciting and in 2 hours I will be picked up to be taken to the hospital. I slept well but I woke up super early like a little kid on Christmas morning.

Sooooo I’m super excited because I have finally landed in Turkey. It’s the first time I come here and I have to say I am loving the atmosphere. The people are super friendly although I travelled alone I must say the place is so alive I definitely don’t feel alone.

I managed to sleep for 4 hours but that’s about it. I am on the opposite side of the world so the time difference makes it hard to sleep for the first few days as it always is anywhere in the world I go.

I am considering getting forehead, chin and possibly under eye fat graft. I have a bony forehead and I feel like a bit more of a chin will make my face more appealing. I’m not sure about Under the eyes, I had filler there some many years ago that I dissolved last month and It definitely looks hollow now. I’m seeing the dr on the 10th so I will ask his professional advice and opinion.
