Consultation Review: Rhinoplasty Dr. Raj Kanodia - Opinions Needed
Hi everyone- ever since I was little I knew I wanted to get a nose job. My dad has a very large " Jewish" nose and passed it on to me. Last year I booked rhinoplasty with Dr. Raj kanodia in Beverly Hills. I chose to do so because I am very comfortable with my current face and wanted what he is known for " a very slight change not even my family will notice". A week before my surgery I felt a sudden wave of absolute panic. All of my friends told me not to do it, my family told me I was too pretty and would ruin my face. In addition to that Dr. Kanodia was so emotionless throughout the process. He isn't the kind of doctor who will comfort your fears. Before entering the operating room Dr. Kanodia showed truely amazing doctor behavior and for the first time I felt... this doctor takes his work seriously. He told me that the timing wasn't right for me, gave me most of my money back minus a very small fee and told me the money was there whenever I chose to come back. A year later I realize although I am terrified of ruining my natural beauty, I can't help but regret not going through with the surgery. If anyone at all has or knows someone who has gotten rhinoplasty done by dr. Kanodia; images would be greatly appreciated. Anyone have reviews of their experiences before I rebook?

I have not had surgery with Dr. Kanodia but I have researched him a bit because he is very famous and purportedly did Ashlee Simpson's nose. I remember reading a review of someone last year that he was very unsupportive of her after she had complications from her rhinoplasty and she actually left his office crying. That review may have been removed. Not sure. I think you should trust your intuition and maybe try a different surgeon.

I had rhinoplasty with Dr. Kanodia in April of 2008 and am so glad I chose him. My experience was great from beginning to end. Aftwerwards my sleeping improved so much because he fixed my deviated septum while still letting me look like me...without a hump at the bridge of my nose. I don't have pictures any longer but can tell you that 5 years later my husband actually had surgery with Dr. K and was pleased as well. Corrected his breathing issues dating back years. He had been hit in the face playing college baseball and the nose was never set properly -- until Dr. K did surgery. That said, you need to be comfortable with your choice. Will Dr. Kanodia hold your hand - probably not. I found him to be more compassionate than people here lead you to believe and was available for follow-up but he isn't warm and fuzzy. I don't care as long as my results are perfect and mine met my every expectation.

Hi mbe1234, any luck finding a surgeon? Have you had the rhinoplasty? I’ve been putting it off for 10 yrs in the push it of finding a good Otolaryngologist that is also a plastic surgeon and whose before/afters I like. Would be great to hear from you.
