Rhinoplasty with Dr. Mirza Firat in Istanbul

I had my rhinoplasty done by Dr. Firat in October 2018. Since I was 16 I was unhappy with my nose. I  had a big hump and as I grew older the tip also changed. When I was 28 i started looking for some doctors in my home country and also had a  consultation with one doctor back then, I thought he is the right doctor for me and I decided to do it after the summer holidays.
But as life goes, I got pregnant and had to postpone all my plans to a later point of time.
However, last year I started to look for some surgeons. I was in a Facebook group about rhinoplasty where everyone can get or provide information or experiences. It helped me a lot. There, I got to know some girls who have already been in Istanbul for a nose job and I liked the results very much. The technic Turkish surgeons use is more sophisticated and more gentle, but is not commonly used in my country.
The communication with Dr. Firat went via WhatsApp. He always responds in a timely manner to all my questions.
I arrived in istanbul and was picked up by his driver. He brought me to the hospital where they did some blood tests and where I had the consultation with Dr. Firat. I explained to him what I dont like about my nose and told him how it should look like. The consultation didn't last long. I didn't have many questions because I asked him all the questions before via whatsapp. The only thing I didn't like is that he usually doesn't do computer simulations, only if you ask for. He showed it to me on surgery day, 10 mins before the surgery. I told him I want a natural looking nose that fits into my face.
Day of surgery:
My surgery was settled for 8 am. The driver picked my up at the hotel at 6 am. The hospital looks like a 5 star hotel. I it is really beautiful modern and up to date. What is more important, the staff is very friendly. In my room I had to fill some forms and the anaesthesist gave me some important information.
At 8 am I was brought to the operation room and I think at 11 am I was back in my room again.
I was very tired but had no pain. The nurses gave me antibiotics and pain killers and some ice to cool my eyes. They came almost every hour to check up and ask if everything's okay.
So I spent one day at the hospital. I didn't sleep much because I could not breathe well and my mouth was very dry as I could only breath through my mouth. The next morning the driver brought me back to the hotel. I did.nt have any pain, it was only an unpleasant feeling because of the silicon splints in the nose. However, the splints were removed on day 3. And after this it was much better. The Same day we went to the city and had a sightseeing tour with the bus. I felt really good and I didn't want to stay at the hotel room all day long doing nothing. We had nice weather, so walking around and enjoying Istanbul is what I can recommend everyone.
After 7 days the cast was removed and our flight back home was on day 8.
I can recommend Dr. Firat for those who want a naturally looking nose. that doesnt mean he can not do small barbie noses. He is very polite and friendly, his assistant and the driver are too. During my stay in Istanbul I could always text his assistant in case I had some questions and he answered rapidly.
I am 3.5 months post op now. My nose is still swollen, especially the tip. But I have no breathing issues and my ENT did said everything is okay.
