I absolutely love my side profile right now. The swelling has gone down alot between my eyes and on the bridge. I started taping for a few days after my nurse recommended it, and the swelling decreased so much after that. There is still a lot of swelling around the tip, especially on the left side, but it's gradually going down and doesn't look weird.
The only thing currently that I'm "concerned" about is that on the right sode of my nose between the bridge and the bone, there is a dent/dip. It's filled out a little but I'm not sure it's going to fill out any more. It's not really noticeable until I point it out. But I hope it's not something that can get worse or cause issues.
Overall I'm soooo happy. I'm already 1 million times more confident and love how my face has changed.
My 3 month follow up will be in Feb :)

ORIGINAL POST
Rhinoplasty with Dr. George Samouris
George Samouris was recommended to me by a friend who also had a rhinoplasty by him, her nose is amazing so that was all the testimony I needed! I sent an enquiry to Transform and was booked a phone consultation with George not too long after.
The initial consultation was great, all my questions answered and I felt super excited. My patient care person was messaging me after and I decided to go for it after negotiating the price down to £5995.
It got a little messy at this point. I originally booked the surgery for 15th September but after a few days realised this wasn't good for me so asked to move the date and my deposit to November, so she put me on the waitlist for November and said she'll contact me when the dates are released.
I regularly text my patient care lady for updates and her last message was not to worry because someone will be in contact with a date. It got to October and she hadn't replied to my last few text messages, and I still hadn't even met the surgeon face to face, and the surgery would supposedly be next month!
I called the clinic to be advised my patient care lady no longer worked at Transform! I was also informed the hospital in Hatfield I was having the surgery was no longer in use so it would be in London - something quite important as Hatfield is much closer to me. I was booked in for a face to face and assigned to a new patient care lady, who called me that evening although I missed the call and then couldn't get hold of her for the following week. I finally got to talk to her and secure a date when I went for my face to face.
The actual face to face consultation went smoothly, albeit it was short. It didn't help I got a call asking me to come in early because the surgeon wanted to finish early, so I had to rush to the train to get there in time as it's a 1hr30 journey from Hertford to Fulham. I could have rescheduled but it had taken so long to get to this point I wanted to make progress! I made it on time and had my meeting, George is really friendly and relaxed, he answered all my questions and then my patient care lady booked my surgery date there and then. Woohoo!
It went pretty smoothly from here until the surgery date. I had another phone consultation with George Samouris because I was getting a bit nervous and feel like I didn't ask enough questions during the face to face. He didn't remember who I was and didn't remember meeting me, this panicked me a little! But again he was so lovely and answered everything. I had another freak out 2 weeks before and wanted to talk to my patient care lady but couldn't get hold of her at all, phone was always off. I did get through to her after days of trying by phoning the clinic.
The Wednesday before my surgery I went for my COVID swab, the nurses at Transform are so lovely. Madelena is so so so nice. She was really relaxed and knowledgeable and answered all my questions (I still had loads!) and this was probably the first time feeling like I wasn't being rushed out.
I had some issues getting my GP letter to say they were happy for me to have the surgery. This wasn't Transform's fault, they asked for it well in advance, but luckily was able to get it sorted by Saturday morning (1 day before surgery!).
Sunday morning came and to be honest, the day went really really smooth. I wasn't waiting long before the surgery. The staff at Harley Heath Village were super lovely and responsive. George Samouris saw me pre-surgery and again it felt brief but he did make me feel much more relaxed than I was, he's very confident and easy-going which made it easier. The anaesthetic guy also came and spoke to me and was very friendly again.
I was admitted at 7:45am and woke up from anaesthetic at around 11:30am. I ended up staying a little longer because I was quite nauseous, hot and cold. Dr Samouris came to see me again after, for less than 30 seconds to say it went well and I'm going to be very happy. I left at around 3:30pm.
I went back to Transform the next day to get the packing removed out of my nose, my swelling was HORRIBLE!
For the rest of the week the swelling went from my eyes, down to my cheeks and jaw. By day 6 the swelling was basically all gone, just left with a couple of bruises.
On Monday 30th (yesterday as I'm writing this!) I got the cast off by Madelena. It also turned out my stitches weren't dissolvable and needed to be taken out. Something which hadn't been mentioned to me at all, by anyone. So it's lucky my mum asked really. There is still 1 stitch in my nose which I'm getting taken out by my GP on Thursday.
Honestly, I had prepared myself for the worst when getting the cast off. I was expecting it to be extremely swollen and shapeless as I'd done a lot of research and read other people's experiences and it seemed this was quite common. But I was SO happy! It is very swollen but it's not totally shapeless. I already love the side profile even if it's going to continue changing.
I did think George would be there at this stage but it was just the nurse. She told me I'll need to book in a 3 month follow up, which I still need to do.
So far I'm really happy. It is extremely early days but I'm excited to see how my nose heals and settles. The bridge and tip are very very swollen, but I knew to expect this, and am not self-conscious at all about it.
I don't think my experience with Transform was the smoothest, but like many industries, they obviously underwent many changes and unfortunately, that affected my experience.
My experience with George Samouris has been positive overall. I think he's lovely and it's so nice that he is so relaxed because I felt like I was in good hands. I do think there could have been more touchpoints as every meeting I've had with him has felt super brief, I don't think he would even remember me now! When he didn't know who I was during the third phone consultation I felt quite panicked which isn't how you want to feel with such a major surgery. But he's obviously brilliant at what he does and I'm still so far happy with my decision.
I can't comment on aftercare just yet but will keep updating!

Thank you for posting so many pics of your progress! I'm getting mine done on 12/23 and am trying to determine what I'll look like for my family's Zoom Christmas.. sexy, apparently, lol.
Haha! Yep right in the middle of the swollen rectangle face days xD good luck, hope it goes smoothly! Xxx
Hi, thanks for posting! did you have open or closed nose surgery?
Hi! Your nose looks amazing! Did he talk to you at all about polybeak deformity? I really want to get this done but I’m so worried about that happening! I read that it can really be down to how good the surgeon is. Just wondered if you knew anything at all x thank you!
