Rhinoplasty with Dr Chana: Best Decision I Have Ever Made

I have always been unhappy with my nose due to a lump visible from my side profile. At the start of my search for a surgeon I wasn’t even 100% sure I was going to go through with it; pictures of celebs with ‘piggie’ noses and a general fear about surgery in general didn’t help... I started my search, naively, contacting the ‘biggest’ names in surgery, to include MYA and The Harley Clinic. My assumption was they must offer the best service given their popularity. I was wrong - the surgeons they recommended during my initial consultation didn’t even rate well on this website! I decided to widen my search to include independent surgeons, via this site, which is where I came across Dr Chana. The reviews speak for themselves, but let me assure you that from my experience he did an outstanding job. He is extremely professional in his approach and clearly immensely skilled in his field of practice. I attended my first consultation with him alone and was struck by the difference in approach to aforementioned providers; he was insistent on understanding my insecurities about my nose BEFORE solutionising. He suggested changes that I hadn’t originally planned to make e.g. slight up turning at the end of my nose, explaining that by getting rid of the bump in my nose this would naturally alter other proportions. Not one other service provider had bothered explaining that to me. I emphasised the need to look natural and avoid looking ‘plastic’. He was adamant he could achieve that, which he has achieved beyond what I had hoped. I returned for a follow up consultation with my mum (in the medical field herself and keen to ensure I was making the right choice). We both came away confident that if I was going to go ahead it should be with Dr Chana on account of how confident we were in him. The surgery itself went ahead without a glitch. Dr Chana came to see me in my hospital room after and confirmed everything had gone as planned. I won’t sugar coat this bit: the actual surgery itself does leave you feeling a bit daunted what with bandages, bruises, but it is, after all, an operation! I was amazed at how quickly my swelling went down (I chose to have the laser option which supposedly supports less swelling). Dr Chana had warned me that it could take up to one year for all swelling to subside; I honestly was ecstatic with the result after 3 or so WEEKS. My nose is bump free from my profile, and face on he has made very subtle improvements that have made such a (positive) difference to my face. I have no scaring, no issues with breathing and to people who don’t know me it is impossible to tell I have had anything changed. Fast forward 10 months since my operation and I have had 2 x follow up appointments with Dr Chana, the last one in which he confirmed I am fully healed! During these appointments he always made a point of checking if I was happy with the results, did I have any medical questions or concerns; put simply, he actually cared about the results of my surgery and seemed genuinely pleased for me and my new nose.
I can only speak from personal experience but that combined with the other reviews on here makes me 100% confident in recommending Dr Chana. He has changed my perception of plastic surgery from something that celebs get so wrong so often and end up looking worse than they started, to an opportunity for people like me, who aren’t confident about something physically, to make a real change.
