So I am now 19 weeks and 2 days post rhinoplasty and I have been meaning to update with pics for some time.
To date my nose changes most days and some days I’m over the moon and others not so good.
Overall the experience has been amazing but I have noticed swelling at the side of my nose which I do not like.
I have messaged the Dr about it and was advised it will subside so will just have to wait and see.
With contour nose looks good but without it’s crooked and swollen at sides. I’m not complaining as I know it will take up to a year to sort out.
The Dr warned me there was no such thing as a perfect nose and I am just working with this notion.
Picture I will post is with contour post op and pre the operation
In terms of maintenance I still use sterimar spray to wash out my nose. I also had to use the ointment for the sides of my nose where the alar stitching has opened slightly. Nothing major and not painful at all. Experienced light blood when blowing nose but could also be to the time of year and hay fever related.
Happy to answer any questions :-))
P.S I LOVE my profile, from the side it looks amazing
Hope you like guys x

I am scheduling my procedure in Aug 2019 and how did you pay for it? Did you have someone with you? Did you pay for the flight separate? Sorry just nervous and anxious at the same time
Hi, I paid for deposit via a transfer app and gave the assistant cash on the day of my operation. My mum escorted me and also slept the night with me in the hotel. Flights were separate and I flew with BA Don’t worry, feel free to ask as many questions as you like. I know how I felt. I have a long and detailed review before the pics post. I may have answered some of you questions there as well xx
Are the stitches at the side noticeable ?
The dissolved about a month or so after surgery and now I'm healed. Some scar tissue but nothing major at all. I truly believe it's how you look after your nose post surgery that determines the after look
Update of nose please ?
Hi, there is a pic of before and after on the review. In a few weeks I will be one year post op and plan to share pics x
Looks wonderful! I’m looking to go in January! Can I ask how you paid? They make you put down a 10% then you’ re required to bring the remaining in cash in usd...I’m wanting to know if anyone has tried paying with credit card because I will not have cash...
What looks wonderful? She has not even posted any photos! Do not trust any doctor brfore you see photos
She had pics before. And Bora Ok actually shows pictures and video on his IG. Stop.
Hi, I paid via an app for deposit and then in cash the morning of the procedure. I did not feel comfortable doing it but had to if I wanted the procedure to be completed. Sorry for the late reply. I haven't used this site in a long time
I have posted pics I'm with my review. One before and after. Didn't know how to use the site so I think they are both labelled before however one in fact is my after. Thanks for the clap back lol

11 week update

I am now 11 weeks post op.
I had to tape my nose for 8 weeks due to the swelling either side of the bridge.
The tip of my nose is extremely swollen now I have stopped taping but over time I am sure will subside.
Sometimes I look at myself in the mirror and wonder what has changed but when I compare it to other pics I can def see the change.
It is albeit a very subtle change will update with some pics in my next post

ORIGINAL POST

Dr Bora

My decision to undergo Rhinoplasty was not taken lightly.
I had researched clinics in London visiting most and being blown away by their prices nothing more.
I always walked away from the consultations feeling really conflicted with my desire to have this type of surgery but not being able to afford the amount of money being quoted by these clinics.
A friend of mine even told me about the non surgical route but it was a total waste of time as my nose was already wide, flat and crooked.
Months into trying to get money together for surgery in the UK I stumbled across an Instagram post from DR Bora’s clinic. I was intrigued and began to follow.
Although it felt extremely weird I proceeded to make contact with the team via what’s app.
I was introduced to Selda who wasn’t pushy, very responsive and really sweet in her approach and responses.
I continued to send questions to Selda for nearly a year before finally deciding to book.
I had medical issues with my nose and was unsure the DR would be able to operate but Selda confirmed this with the doctor and he confirmed all was well.
I booked the surgery in Jan 2019 paying the deposit via Trasnfergo App and booked to fly to Istanbul the following month.
My mum travelled with me as I’m quite an anxious person and Selda swiftly advised my mum was more than welcome to come along. I’m really glad I brought her with me. I needed the company.
The nights leading up the surgery I felt really anxious and began to experience severe migraines. I had to take my medication which worried me more as I was advised not to take any medication leading up to the surgery etc...
All was well though. I contacted Selda and she returned my query confirming I could take my prescribed meds.
Flight to airport, transfers and hotel were 5star! No issues and no faults whatsoever!
Arrived at hotel and crashed as I my surgery was scheduled for 7am the next day.
Morning of surgery, my mum and I walked to the hospital using google maps. It was about a 10min walk.
Selda was waiting in reception and took me to a room for bloods and to sign documentation.
Selda was a god send and I really appreciated her being there as she helped ease my worries and was able to explain everything in detail. The hospital room was amazing and really comfortable. No complaints.
Dr Bora walked into my hospital room with such an energy I couldn’t not describe. He was very respectful addressing my mum and I and asked me what was my desired outcome. I have been so used to consultants telling me what they envisaged for my face and me, the question threw me.
The dr explained my nasal structure and was very realistic about what could and could not be achieved. I had a few questions and they were all answered.
This part of the experience felt slightly rushed but I felt confident and comfortable with what was being said.
In the end I opted for alar reduction with cartilage being added to the tip and straitening of my nose bridge.
I was given a sedative before going down to the operating theatre and the next thing I remember was waking up to two ice packs on my eyes and the feeling of being blocked up.
I was provided food at the hospital (as well as my mum) asked to walk around and urinate some hours after surgery.
My mum slept the night at the hospital with me and the next morning we were told about the medication and I was discharged.
Over the next 5 days I used the medication prescribed (£32) and was totally fine. Being blocked up was annoying but I knew it would only last for the 5 days. I ate, slept, laughed and talked as normal. We kept the channel on CNN and were able to stay updated on the R Kelly and Jessie Smollett cases, very interesting at the time.
On the cast removal day I got to hospital and the splints were removed. It was so lovely being able to breathe again but I honestly didn’t know what to think when I saw my face in the mirror. I didn’t like what I saw looking back at me but I knew I had a lot a swelling and I could not reverse the procedure so would have to see it out. The Dr also advised me during this session he managed to carry out radio frequency on some swollen areas in my nose which I am so grateful for.
On the cast removal day my mum and I decided to go to the mall and look around the shops then go back to the hotel.
Going home was cool. I was so glad to return to the UK I was asked a lot about my nose including by the captain. They didn’t ask for paper work but wanted to ensure I was safe to travel. I was asked for my documentation at airport security which was no problem.
Once home I was signed off of work for a month (from date of surgery) as I really wanted to heal properly. I experienced one nose bleed which lasted for a couple of seconds but freaked me out a bit.
Every night I wrap nose, use all the creams and try to ensure I follow all the rules given by the doctor.
YouTube and LaylaS have been a god send since coming home.
I do think the DR should look into providing written aftercare instructions with FAQ. It would help put peoples mind at rest and answer a lot of trivial questions.
A month on and I am finally beginning to like what I see in the reflection. Before that my tip was sky high and you could see right into my nostrils
I didn’t really like going out as the sutures looked like boogies lol
I will upload pics and keep on updating [RS bleep]
Overall, wonderful experience and I wished I had done it sooner but I’m glad I waited and got a great surgeon for me.

could you please share before and after pictures? thanks!
I have now posted these
I’m trying to find the best way to post pics and conceal my identity. Once I have figured that out I will be sure to post
Thank you for your update. I just got a nose job with Dr Bora on May 7, 2019. My nose is still pretty swollen up and did not bandage after day 8. Lol bad patient. I’m still waiting to see if I like my results but I’m glad to hear that your nose started to look the way you want after a few weeks. Everything you describe is pretty much my experience. And I agree it would be nice to have some take-home procedures. Especially with the meds. It will be nice to have each medication and what it’s for and how to use it. There’s a lot of verbal and you can’t remember everything because he just went to surgery.
Yes I totally agree. I’m going to do another update about how things are going now x Hope everything is ok
I actually filmed Selda when she giving me the medication tutorial - so much easier to remember
Hey ladies, I very interested in having this procedure with Dr Bora, but I have a broken nose and a few issues, so we will see. I'm just wondering, did you book your own accommodation? What was included in the price? Thank you
Sorry for the late reply. It was all included for me x
