WORTH IT
I forgot to add pictures to my last post! Please see the post right before this. This is my first day off without the cast and there’s a lot of good information. Even with all of the swelling the difference this has made for me is incredible. Life changing. I’m so in love with this Doctor’s work, his caring demeanor and the amazing staff at Piazza Center.

First day with my cast off and it’s already life-changing.

Cast off day!! I was so absolutely blown away and unprepared for what a difference this made for me, I started falling apart a bit and cried a little. Embarrassing, but I was so relieved and amazed by how much this looked like it was made for my face.

Pardon my hair, because of my abdominal surgery I still can’t wash my hair on my own yet. I had my cast and stitches removed and I’m in love with my little nose. I CAN BREATHE!!

Dr Antunes was so gentle and as usual, Dr Piazza’s nurse Traci was a rockstar. He removed my stitches, scabs, and the cast so carefully it barely hurt at all. He was efficient and careful.

The swelling is still crazy high, no it won’t be this wide even a month from now. The shape, bridge and tip still have a lot of swelling to release and will define itself considerably over the next few weeks.

Even with swelling and internal dissolvable stitches and dried blood, I can breathe through both sides and breathe DEEPLY without pain or sinus pressure. I feel amazing.

The shape and form will take a year to develop, but the biggest changes will be months 1-4 and around month 6. I’ll keep posting!

Day 4 Post Op - Rhinoplasty

Today is the most uncomfortable day with swelling so far. I’m religious about keeping it clean and following my post op supplements and instructs to the letter. Even so, then pressure and congestion is real!

Still leaky, though now the blood is far less and it’s mostly clear fluid and saline. I’m so uncomfortable. I still can’t taste a thing. Talking with other people in a surgery support group who are on the same timeline has helped a lot. My doctors have done really great checking up on me and I get to see Dr Antunes today.

l still have almost no energy and I’m sleeping all the time. I really hope I can get some relief at the doctors today!
