More Consultations

04/29/2019 Part 2
I'm extremely happy to see all the comments on my first post! I'm glad so many people are willing to follow me on my PS journey.
That being said, I went ahead and consulted multiple other clinics as well.

MVP:
I contacted them over a week ago, but they left me on read and did not respond. I just double texted them, and will provide an update if they do end up responding.

View:
The consultant told me that I have a low nasal bridge compared to the nose tip, a bulbous nose, wide alar, and wide nasal bone. They recommended rhino combined with implant insertion to make my nose bridge higher, septal cartilage graft to make my nose tip smaller, alar reduction, and lateral osteotomy to narrow my nasal bone. As for my chin, they recommended genioplasty advancement but I really did not want it. I am still convinced I'd be fine with just an implant or fillers. For well defined double eyelid folds, they recommended that I undergo DES with ptosis correction. When I asked about epicanthopy, they told me I already had pretty eyes and told me it could be an optional procedure if I wanted to extend the length of my eyes. The prices were decent, but Namu still beats them price-wise. I thought it was interesting that they recommended lateral osteotomy, so I went ahead and asked Namu if they offered that as well. They did, and they gave me a price quote for it. It wasn't too bad, so I'll end up getting it if I do decide to stick with Namu.

Uvom:
They told me I would need to do hump removal and remove unneeded cartilage and flesh from my nose tip, pull it together and augment it, and augment the nose bridge according to my nose tip. They gave me prices for bulbous nose correction, hump removal, non incisional double eyelid, incisional double eyelid, and epicanthoplasty. In the end, the prices were a bit too high for me especially when compared to Namu's prices, so I decided to reject them.

JW:
They told me my tip seemed long, bulbous, and droopy, and that I had a slight hump on the dorsum. She recommended heightening the tip with ear cartilage or rearranging the alar cartilage, bulbous tip correction by removing excessive tissue and gathering the spreaded alar cartilage, and hump removal. As for the eyes, she told me I seemed to have a non-defined low fold as well as slight asymmetry. She recommended DES through non incision or partial incision and epicanthoplasty.

Banobagi:
They recommended wither non-incisional or incisional for my eyes, and possibly ptosis correction as well depending on my condition. As for the nose, they recommended overall reduction because of the hump on my nose bridge and tip and bridge enhancement to make my nose slimmer and naturally sharper. They recommended full face contouring (cheekbone reduction, square jaw reduction, and genioplasty), but I do not want that. I still think simple chin implant/fillers will do.

Wannabe:
They have only recently gotten back to me because the consultant was sick for a few days. I will provide another update once they come back with their consultation comments.

So far, I'm pretty set on Namu. I've seen their B&As on their website, and they aren't SUPER impressive. However, their pricing is good and I am probably just biased. I've seen reviews on forums and such and websites such as Misooda that have way better B&As than Namu's website, so I'm still pretty confident in my decision with Namu. I have also yet to see a bad Namu review, so that helps as well. I have asked them how much it would cost for a chin implant (in case I decide to go with something more permanent than fillers), and I will probably book an appointment and possibly pay a deposit once they respond. I'm super excited! I feel pretty confident in my decision.

I've also finally qualified for the loan I would need for the whole trip and procedure. I've also applied for a travel credit card, so I will be able to earn points for the purchase of my plane ticket and accomodations. My credit card should arrive tomorrow. Once it does, I'll buy the plane ticket, book the Airbnb (found cheap accomodations for $16/night!), and inform my job of my planned vacation. I'm extremely excited and anxious at the same time. Once everything is 100% settled, I will start posting pictures and actual updates. :)

Rhinoplasty and Double Eyelid Surgery Journey

04/20/2019 Part 1
I'm planning on going to South Korea in about a month to get surgery done on my nose and eyes. I'm going to document every step of my journey so people can see what my personal experience is like. My goals are to achieve a thinner, attractive nose from a bulbous nose and larger eyes with more defined double eyelids. As I am of Asian descent, my eyelids are very small. They are not monolids, but my double eyelids are so small and thin. I am also looking to get chin and lip fillers as well. I have a bit of a weak chin. It's not extreme, but I am bothered by the small bit of fat that is under my chin if my chin is positioned a little too close to my neck. My chin also wrinkles up when I smile too big, so I think chin fillers would fix that. I feel that my smile is veeery slightly asymmetrical. My top lip feels too small, and I figure a little bit of plumping would be the cherry on top of these procedures, haha. If I can afford it, I may consider some dermatology treatments as well. I have dark acne scars that are taking a long time to fade, but they don't bother me too much. At least, not enough for me to further break my bank over them.
So far, I've been doing a lot of research on Korean PS clinics. I've been told to stay away from medical tourist agencies like DocFinderKorea. It's been easy doing my own research. I've contacted with a few English speaking consultants over chat (KakaoTalk) about the procedures and results I want.
I'm currently settled on Namu. The consultant, Claire, was patient with my questions and concerns. She worked out the specific details of what my procedures would be:
Rhinoplasty: hump removal + bulbous tip correction + augmentation rhinoplasty with silicone + septal cartilage extension
Eyes: epicanthoplasty + ptosis correction + partial incision DES
I asked about alarplasty as well, because I didn't like how wide my nose would become whenever I smile. She told me that my nose is small and that I would not need alarplasty. On one side, I am totally okay with not having to pay for an extra procedure. On the other side, I'm still unsure if I would get the nose I want without alarplasty. I did consider that my smile would probably look fine if I just got the bridge and the bulbous tip corrected.
I will be doing further research on other clinics as well. I plan to contact Uvom and Wannabe, and I will probably add more clinics onto my research list. I will also be providing "before" photos eventually to this journal, possibly once I've gotten all the details planned out!
By planned out, I mean approved for a loan, approved for a vacation, secured a round trip plane ticket, and booked an Airbnb. I am currently in the process of getting assimilated into my new full time job so I can start applying for loans. Once I'm approved, I will get everything else done ASAP.
