Dent has spread & part of dorsal bump still visible after swelling reduced

Disappointed in Rhinoplasty

Having been self-conscious with my natural nose for many years, I finally made the decision to have the procedure done to boost my confidence in my new career. I researched surgeons thoroughly before deciding to go with Mr Shandilya. I had an initial consultation in Dublin and explained what I would be like for my new nose. I had a dorsal bump that I wanted straightened and over-projection that I wanted shortened. I asked for a dainty curve and tip lift but Mr Shandilya informed me that although it could be done, I needed to be realistic. He stated he would straighten the bump, lift the tip and reduce the over-projection. He showed me how it could look and I was happy, so trusted his professional opinion. Fast forward a couple of months, I had my operation in November and cast removed a week later. I was booked in for a check up three months later but two weeks after the procedure, I woke up to find a dent on the bridge of my nose and a brown scar. Mr Shandilya seen me the next day and advised that this would even out over the 18 month healing period. In February, I could still smell blood in my nose. I travelled 3 hours to Dublin where Mr Shandilya advised that he would prescribe Naseptin cream, only to not have any prescription paper available at his office. This was a wasted journey. I was left to source the cream from my own GP. In April, the dent had now spread across the bridge of my nose, there is still a scar that resembles a dirty mark and part of the dorsal bump was still visible after the swelling had reduced. My family members have stated that my nose now looks worse than before the procedure. I have to try to conceal the dent and scar with make up daily. I told Mr Shandilya I was unhappy over the phone and again, I had a further wasted journey to Dublin to be told to wait until 18 months had passed then we could discuss laser treatment and fillers after. I could have had a nonsurgical nose job but opted for the more expensive option from a professional surgeon for a permanent fix. I did not expect to require laser treatment and fillers. To say I am disappointed for the price I paid is an understatement. Please consider your options carefully if you're planning on having a dorsal bump removed.
