You Don’t Go to Dr Bora Ok for Price, You Go Because He’s a Specialist
I decided to wait at least 1 month before writing my review. My review is separated by sections to hopefully answer any question for people researching Dr.Bora Ok
Initial contact : I originally booked in March and decided on a June date. I kept in contact through what’s app with his assistant (who is the best :)) who scheduled my deposit and forms. She answered all of my questions within a couple of hours. I didn’t feel rushed or like I was going to lose out. Very straight forward process.
Day of surgery: June 17th I get to the hospital and check in. Nurses come in take my test, his assistant takes my photo, final payment etc…. Already in my surgery gown I finally meet Dr.Bora. We speak about my request and wishes. I complained about my bridge, nostril size, and my tip. Dr. Bora’s bedside manner was great. He was very realistic he specifically told me what he could do, and what he couldn’t do. After he left I met the anesthesiologist, and the rest of the nurses which was comforting.
Post-surgery: I woke up with no pain. The aftercare I received from the nurses at the academic hospital was by far THE BEST. I threw up on the bed, and they changed the bedsheets and comforter ASAP. I didn’t feel any pain or discomfort. It was a 24 hour watch, making sure I was comfortable, had ice on my face, and was drinking fluids. I spoke to Dr Bora and he explained how the procedure went. When it was time to leave they gave me everything I would require for the aftercare of my nose and off I went. Came back to take my cast off and flew home.
1 Mo Update: I can honestly say I love my new nose. There has not been a day that I question my decision. No one can tell unless I show them photos because it looks natural. Everything I had an issue with, he corrected. In general I had to understand the same changes on my nose will look completely different on someone else’s nose. Little by little my nose is getting softer and the swelling goes down day by day. In my after photos there is a lot of swelling due to a respiratory infection but In general I notice that my nose only swells if I lift heavy (mostly legs days) which was specifically stated in his after care instructions. There is visibly no real scarring other than some light discoloration. My stitches have all fallen out except for 1 black one inside my nose. I’m very excited to see the progress of my nose in the next few months.
