Don't Look Any Further, This is the Doc You Want!
WORTH IT$17,000
I had Septoplasty about 5 years ago and made the mistake of having my ENT doc do the surgery instead of a plastic surgeon. When I came to, my deviated septum had been fixed on the inside but not the septum itself - in other words, my septum leaned to the far right, making my left nostril smaller compared to my right nostril and it had not been moved. For some reason I had expected this to be fixed and it was not explained to me that it wouldn't be attended to. This was a real problem since the opening to my left nostril was practically a slit vs. a hole.
Fast forward to now and my in ability to take in air through that nostril (despite the fact that the inside was straight and clear) was becoming a real issue, especially when exercising. This is when I decided to get it fixed and I figured, hell - if I have to do this again, I might as well get the rest of my nose fixed as well.
To be clear, my main focus was fixing the crooked septum -- when looking at me, you might not even notice that I had a bit of a bump on the left side of my bridge, plus the shape of my nose was what's called a "dorsal hump"- it wasn't severe, but it was something that had always bothered me.
With that, I went about finding a surgeon. I "interviewed" a total of 3, with Dr. Liotta being the 3rd --save the best for last! It was really important to me that my nose still look like "me"- I didn't want any crazy work done--just opening my nostril and refining my bridge - I didn't want some kind of crazy ski slope.
Dr. Liotta got this right away and basically echoed exactly what I was thinking. She didn't want to touch the tip of my nose, only the bridge. She was soooo sooo personable and had (HAS) such positive energy! Plus - if you look at her Instagram, you can see that her work is beautiful and natural looking. I trusted her immediately! Add the fact that she's a board certified plastic surgeon AND and ENT -- you can't go wrong! Plus (and I think this is true for most of her nose surgeries) she does not use splints and packing though I believe there might be reason in some cases. This was a huge deal b/c it meant recovery would suck a little less.
Her office is full of fabulous, capable women without any kind of pretention. The entire experience was easy and comfortable, starting with the front desk admins to Cortney the Patient Coordinator (she's a real rock star) to the surgical staff (anesthesiologist and nurse etc.).
The facility fee is a bit high, b/c the procedures are done in an operating room in her office. It is 1000% worth it. I've never had that kind of attention before or after surgery from a nurse and anesthesiologist before. They listen and they take very VERY good care of you.
As for the results, they are EXACTLY what I wanted. In my particular case, nobody has noticed that I've had surgery -- instead, people have said, "You look great, did you change your hair or something?" I still look like me and my nose is still my nose, but better.
Look no further, she's the one you want!
