Almost 3 months out!
WORTH IT
Seems like forever ago yet it hasn’t even been 3 months post-op yet. Time is strange. I still have swelling. Doc told me wait til at least 6 months post-op to really see a difference. I feel bruising in the bridge of my nose if I move it a bit. My tip is still very stiff and a bit numb by the columella but I’ve adjusted more so to the feeling. I get nothing but positive feedback. I’ve noticed my nose stays dry more often than it used to. I also have faint smells of what seems like cigarette smoke even though I’m not around smoking. It’s a strange olfactory sensation. I am thankful (& still a bit amazed) that I went through with this procedure. Gradually as the swelling decreases, my self-confidence increases. It isn’t overnight but I’m headed in the right direction. Still worth it after all these weeks. And Dr Gilpin is so great at follow ups answering all of my questions. He is an artist.

I know the answer but...
When does the swelling really decrease in the tip? I am appx 3.5 wks out. I feel like I look so funny still but everybody else thinks I look normal. Oh well!

Hey there- you are looking great! I am eight weeks out and I’m noticing quite a reduction in swelling this week. No one else is commenting, kind of like you don’t notice kids grow when you see them daily I guess, but I’ve seen dramatic change.

Tip is stiff! Post op day 25....
My upper lip is pretty stiff as well which is why my smile is funny. Can’t move my nose much. But the swelling is slowly coming down which is good. The bridge of my nose still feel bruised. Again, getting better.

He did an amazing job! You look great. I have considered a consultation with him. Do you have thick skin? I do so that worries me.
Wow!! You really look great!!
