It’s been a long time since i made any update. It’s very fast how days go by. Looking back and reading feels like it just happened yesterday. So it’s been 2 years since i had my rhinoplasty. During the time of healing and recovery, you really can’t tell it’s the final result and outcome of the nose. It’s correct what the doctors said. The final result will show around 1-2 years. As the months go by my nose also gets smaller. It’s not as pointed and big or swollen looking as those past few months. My sisters liked my nose now. They said that the shape is nice and that it looked natural. My real goal was not to have a nose that looked natural. I actually want it more pointed. But i think the result enhances my face. It’s not too obvious and everything looks normal. Looks like i haven’t gotten a nose job. I don’t know if i will take it as a compliment, and if my doctor did a good job. I honestly want it more obvious. Anyways i will put up some photos. I like how doctor yap did a good job on incisions. No marks of any cuts or scars. I have to give him credit on that. Overall i could say that I am not fully satisfied with the result but i think what others see is much better than what i see on my own. Because maybe i am greedy. When in reality what i had is actually nice and a good nose job. Only ourselves is the most opinionated person to us. I think i also am grateful that it’s not botched. That the outcome is okay and it’s nothing bad. I feel everything back to normal now. My nose never had any problem after rhinoplasty. Although i cant use my fingers now to clean my nose haha! It’s too damn hard to force my fingers in the holes. So i still use q-tips from time to time. I guess that’s one of the things I miss. Being able to clean my nose like normal using my fingers hahaha. Anyway i advise that you go to the doctor that you want and that you voice everything that you really want for your nose. Don’t settle for what is small and safe haha. Go big or go home hahaha! Okay, that was a joke. Just do what you think is best and comfortable with you. The outcome and healing stages are worth it. :)

Hi, thank you so much for your review! It has really helped me through my journey as well. I got my rhinoplasty with the same doctor, and I wanted for a "natural asian - but like not filipino" look, making sure that my bridge is higher and my alars were reduced by a lot (b/c I had a really wide nose). Unfortunately, I totally forgot that doc Eduardo yap was very conservative and he didn't really ask for an inspo pic so I just trusted that he would do something that suited my face. Honestly after the surgery I saw that my alarm were still really wide, but I thought that it was still swelling. The first few months (like 2-3 months post op) I really liked how pointed my tip looked (my bridge was just the right height during these months, and doc said that the bridge would not go any lower after this, however it did). I'm currently 7ish months post op, and the swelling on the bridge has gone down, and I realized that my nose still looks "flat looking", and the pointy tip that I liked is gone. Also my alars are quite wide still (people have even said to me that I should've gotten it reduced, even though I did). I definitely feel you. I hope by 2027 I can get it re-done as I'm still a university student, so when I graduate university I can save up for a revision. I'm unsure if I want to go back to doc (not that there is anything wrong with the nose he did, I would say its really natural and pretty but I should've collaborated more and shown him pictures of what I wanted). Also I've noticed that my tip is slightly leaning to one side, not noticeable when looking straight on, but under you can see it's a bit off. I'm thinking of doctor nato or dr. Edwin del rosario (who I originally wanted a slot for but the only available was for alar + tip plasty). I think that the nose is a big improvement from my old face, so I wouldn't mind going back for a revision (just further collaboration of what I want specifically to be improved, I will also ask for the height of the implant so I know how high).
