I want to start off by saying that I did not have a terrible experience, but not great. Pearlman was my first rhinoplasty consultation I had been to. I will say the office is beautiful and the staff is nice. In all honesty, I did not find Dr. Pearlman very personable. He took my pictures and did 3D vectra right away. After 10 minutes of silence, he made a joke about how maybe I'll save the anesthesiologist money if my surgery ended up being short? Meanwhile I'm the one to pay him thousands of $. He basically had a annoyed demeanor the whole time; like it was a chore to see me. I also want to point out that when examining my nose, he didn't tell me I had a deviated septum (which I found out from 2 other doctors after him). I know insurance could have helped with this, but I am guessing he didn't want to be bothered with insurance and failed to mention this important part of my nose. I went to him because the results I saw online look really good, but for me, I didn't mesh with this doctor.

Because of HIPPA regulations, I cannot specifically address a single patient's issues. However, without a history of nasal and sinus symptoms or treatment, septoplasty is rarely paid for by insurance. Additionally, even if they do, it is an additional charge and does not discount the cost for rhinoplasty. If I see any deviation during rhinoplasty it will be corrected no matter what.
Regarding the silence, the Vectra 3-D takes a lot of time to upload and create a 3-D image, which may have been the silence.
We pride ourselves on patient relations and welcome a follow up appointment in person that we never charge for, if desired, to review the exam, plan and potential treatments.
