Dr. Payam Jarrah-Nejad has changed my life! Dr. J has provided me with the confidence I always desired. Since adolescence I was bothered by my hook nose and weak chin. Additionally, I knew I wanted to enhance the size of my breasts to better proportion my body. I researched plastic surgeons around Southern California for two years prior to my surgery. After narrowing down a list to 10 board certified plastic surgeons and going to consultations (some which I paid over $250 for), I knew I Dr. J was the surgeon for me. I never had any surgery done prior to my procedures, so as you can imagine I was extremely anxious. During my consultations I came with a notebook in hand and asked a ton of questions. I made sure to ask all the plastic surgeons the same questions. Dr. J knew I had done my research and chuckled when he saw my occupation listed as clinical researcher. He took it as a compliment since I had done my homework and was interested in seeing him. Dr. J took his time to answer every single question I had with a smile and said he had not been questioned so much since residency. Whereas I felt rushed and unheard by other plastic surgeons with god complexes, Dr. J was humble and took his time to understand my wants. Aside from Dr. J's amazing bedside manners, I felt confident in choosing Dr. J as my doctor because of his credentials, results, and reviews. He never tried to pressure me into additional or unnecessary procedures. In fact, he will tell patients when they are not good candidates for procedures. I had open rhinoplasty, septoplasty with turbinate reduction, chin augmentation, and silicon breast augmentation (492cc mod+) with Dr. J. Dr. J made me feel very comfortable from the first day I stepped into his office and throughout the post op follow-up appointments. He knew I was nervous about going under anesthesia for the first time and he held my hand as I counted backwards. He was also there holding my hand when I woke up. When I woke up I looked at him and asked "Am I beautiful now?" in which he responded, "You were already beautiful." The recovery was better than I had anticipated. I was sore and had some discomfort but my pain was well managed. I also had very minimal bruising which is a testament to Dr. J's gentle and skillful nature. I could not be happier with my results. I am 2 years post-op and I still smile every time I look at myself in the mirror. I cannot thank Dr. J enough for how he has changed my life. This has been the best decision of my life and I would do it again with Dr. J in a heartbeat. I highly recommend Dr. J. I refer my friends and family to him because I know they will be well taken care of with him. Additionally, he has an amazing staff. Michelle is very sweet and helps with scheduling. Daria, the office manager is gorgeous and very lovely. Overall, I am so grateful that I chose Dr. J to be my plastic surgeon.
