Tip dropped too much resulting to ”polly beak deformity”

Update after one year: a mild form of polly beak deformity

$3,678
I’m going to have revision surgery because the results are not what I hoped for. My tip has dropped to much resulting to a ”polly beak deformity”. There are bumps on the supratip area and dorsum.
I have messaged Dr Guray but I have not received an answer yet.
Currently looking for other surgeons to do my revision.

Still quite happy!
Some mornings my nose has more swelling and usually it appears to be slimmer in the evening. I might have some scar tissue developed right before the tip of my nose because there is a slight bump I can feel. Or it might be "polly beak deformity", I'm not sure. But you almost can't notice it.

Hey wow you look amazing!! Do you feel like this is the doctors fault? Do you still recommend him? Your breathing is okay? I would love an update x
Actually, I contacted a surgeon and asked about a possible revision surgery and what is wrong with my nose now. This doctor told me that I have a very mild pollybeak deformity and that could be corrected. So, it is not scar tissue, it is the doctor's fault because not enough tip support was used.
Hi! My breathing is perfect.
I don’t think any doctor would do something like this on purpose but it is very difficult to say what is the reason and what has maybe affected it during the healing process. It important to think that our bodies heal differently and it is possible that not everything can be fixed in the first surgery.. Rhinoplasty is a complicated thing!

I would still recommend him, but now if I considered another doctor for my primary rhino, I would maybe choose someone else :) Maybe someone who does only rhinoplasties (for example Saban Celebi, Erdem Caglar, Dogan Pinar, Arda Pelen..)
Hi I can't see a deformity really, I'm not sure what polly beak means. Can you explain what issues you are noticing?
This is the answer I got from a nother surgeon:

”If the tip drops and loses its projection (moves closer to the face) then this movement is against dorsum. Dorsum is a rigid structure and therefore it starts to protrude in the area just above the tip itself (supratip area) as the tip moves. The dorsum also pushes tip cartilages to a more vertical position as the tip goes downwards. The latter makes the supratip wider. It altogether results in a higher and wider supratip area and the deformation is called pollybeak deformity. You have a mild form of that”
Your nose looks amazing.

7 months after surgery

Swelling has reduced a lot.
I like the result. It is not perfect, but it is better than before!
I had some problems with the stiches in my left nostril - they didnt seem to ressolve as well as on the other side. Now (7 months later!!) I can still feel and see a little bump because of the stitches in my nosestril/columella

I’m a bit afraid that I have slight pollybeak-deformity because the side profile is not perfectly straight. I had a bump before but not in this place..
I will wait for a couple months and then figure out if I should have revision surgery.
