Rhinoplasty for bulbous nose on thick skin

I can’t believe it has been a year already since I got rhinoplasty. I love my nose! I don’t feel weird when I look in the mirror or when I smile. It has become a part of me, sometimes I forget I have a nose job!! I don’t think I have any swelling left on my nose. It has been a very long journey! And the first months seem never ending when it comes to the swelling. But be patient and hang in there. Eat healthy, keep your sodium intake low, take your bromelain, eat pineapple, and don’t touch your nose. I will try to post pictures every year because I’ve always wondered how nose jobs look in the long run, after 10 years or 20 year. Or if anything happens to my nose which I hope it doesn’t. I have accidentally been hit on my nose by my son who sometimes I let sleep with me when he is sick or has had a bad dream and everything has been fine after a day of minor swelling. I love my doctor and would recommend him to everyone. He is sweet, caring, and patient! If you are looking for natural and beautiful results I would go see Dr. Payam. I am considering getting a BBL from him as well for my saddle bags and love handles. Unfortunately this whole COVID19 thing has happened and my kids aren’t going to school and I was supposed to work while they were in school to pay for my surgery... Hopefully things return to normal soon. If I do end up getting my BBL I will start a review for that as well.

We had slight complications because I was accidentally hit twice on the nose (one was a kick on the nose by sleeping 5 year old). This happened at around the 3 or 4 month mark I think... At my request Dr. J injected Kenalog for the swelling due to the kick. I knew the risks but didn’t think I would be part of the small percentage of people that would experience atrophy. And just my luck I was part of the small percentage, I had a white dent on the side on my nose, and right at the bridge my skin got really thin and you could see the shape of my bones it was awful. After finding a article/study on atrophy due to Kenalog and how to remedy it and showing it to Dr. J he decided to give it a shot. And thank God he did!! He only did a little bit of saline 1x a week for 3 or maybe 4 weeks and my dents went away! I was so happy that he was kind enough to fix the problem that I myself got into. And not once did he make me feel like I was being burden because let’s be honest he is an extremely busy doctor and time is money... He didn’t have to take time from his day to see me to do the “little saline injection experiment” on my dents. I truly am grateful for him. I don’t think there is a more kind and caring doctor out there that really goes above and beyond his patients. He truly cares.


Now fast forward a few months, I am so happy with my nose I never thought I could have such a pretty cute and little delicate nose that looks natural. I feel like it’s the nose I was supposed to be born with. I always thought I was kinda pretty but now I feel beautiful and I think that is just something you can’t put a price on. Dr. J is an artist and his work is priceless! I don’t contour my nose every morning, I don’t have to do anything! It’s just surreal at times when I see my face in the mirror and see my cute little nose. I can take a picture without having to worry about getting my “good side”. A total confidence booster I would recommend him to anybody who isn’t happy with their nose :)
