The major swelling around my face has gone down and the green bruises started to go away on week 3. I feel so confident and happy with my new nose. I still feel like me just without the hump on my nose and can breathe way better. I can tell a major difference and I love how my new nose doesn't look so "plastic", he aimed for a natural and beautiful nose that fits the structure of my face. I can tell Dr. Milla is SUPER passionate about his work and I am so HAPPY I chose him!

Rhinoplasty + Buccal Fat Removal (AMAZING Results)

I had a fantastic experience with Dr. Milla, PLEASE choose him when looking for a rhinoplasty doctor in Mexico. For the past three years, I've been searching for a doctor in the US or Mexico to perform rhinoplasty and out of the 5-6 doctors I met Dr. Milla exceeded my expectations. I felt a sense of security and relief in choosing him. I knew I was in good hands once I explored his Instagram page. Due to COVID, I had a video consultation with him and I had to put 50$ down that would go towards my surgery. I had my consultation in March and I set my rhinoplasty surgery for July 1st, 2020. In order to secure my surgery date, I had to put 1,000$ down. Before my rhinoplasty, I had to get blood work done, a CT scan of my nose sinuses (luckily my insurance covered it), and a COVID test. In total my rhinoplasty cost 3,800$ and buccal fat removal 800$, an additional 250$ for medication/lab, and an additional 123$ for my x-ray in Tijuana. So in total, I paid 4,973$. I am from Arizona so I decided to travel by car and it is important to have someone with you when recovering. An additional cost was staying at a hotel in Tijuana for a whole week and in total cost about 600$. I stayed in Tijuana from July 1, 2020 - July 8, 2020. When I got to the facility, it was very clean and professional. The staff was amazing and they also spoke English. Also, I had to take another COVID test to make sure I tested negative. My surgery lasted about 2-3 hours and I stayed overnight to recover. The nurse who took care of me was very sweet and she provided me jello to eat and juice. The next morning I left by 9 am and went straight to my hotel to recover. Unfortunately due to COVID, my parents could not wait in the waiting room so its best to have your phone fully charged to be able to communicate with whoever is picking you up. Having the tampons up my nose was difficult because you can only breathe through your mouth. Then on July 6, 2020 the doctor finally removed the tampons/splints that was up my nose, and to be honest I felt so much pressure when they removed it. The removal process was fast but I felt like fainting. Finally on July 8, 2020 the doctor removed my cast and then proceeded to apply tape on my nose to prevent more swelling. I have to wear the tape on my nose for an additional twenty days for 24/7. I have to go back to Tijauna on July 23, 2020 to my appointment so the Doctor can check my progress and make sure everything is okay. Since I have to change my nose tape every four days, on July 12, 2020 was the first time I saw my nose since the major swelling went down. I was so shook looking at my new nose and I was screaming of joy. I have attached a before and after photos below and on the right side is 12 days post-op.
I do not regret my rhinoplasty or buccal fat removal one bit. I was always insecure of the hump on my nose and my big chipmunk cheeks. I've always had difficulty breathing on my left side of my nose due to having nasal septum deviation. Dr. Milla fixed my breathing and I feel amazing. Additionally, even after losing 50lbs I still had big cheeks due to genetics. I feel 100% more confident, especially with my new side profile. All of my friends say that my doctor has "magic hands" because they could not believe how straight and beautiful my new nose is. I highly recommend Dr. Milla! The best rhinoplasty doctor in Tijuana, Mex.

Thank you so much for sharing so helpful ! ❤️
May I ask how you were able to get tested for Covid? I'm from the US as well, it seems like it's near impossible to get tested unless showing symptoms but even then they seem to turn people away. Did you just tell the health care facility that you were getting surgery and needed to get tested in order to have the surgery?
I'll be honest I just lied saying I had a cough so they can test me because when I first wanted to get tested they rejected me because I displayed "no symptoms". I did mines at a CVS drive thru! You should definitely try CVS because it's free.
Hehe ya gotta do what ya gotta do, the system is wack. Thank you for takin the time to reply! :3
Hi! Was the CT Scan required? I know its not required by most doctors. Did he ask this from you because you have breathing issues? Thanks !
That's a good question! After my consultation, they just sent me a referral to show my doctor of what they needed. For the CT scan, I did have to go elsewhere to an ENT instead of my primary doctor and luckily the physician was nice enough to lie and say I had "bad nasal congestion" so they can complete my CT scan, then I just requested the copies.
Thanks for sharing your story! I was wondering if you had to go back a week later to have the cast removed? I live in California and am wondering how many times I’d have to fly back out to TJ. Also are there dissolvable sutures or does the doctor remove them?
After my surgery was complete (July 1) I stayed at a hotel for seven days in TJ because on July 6 they removed the tampons in my nose then on July 8th they finally removed my cast/stitches. Then I returned two weeks later on July 23 for a checkup. I would recommend staying in SD or TJ for a whole week because you may feel discomfort in my opinion and its best to minimize traveling. Having the tampons up my nose made me feel miserable and all I wanted to do was sleep. But once they removed it, my major swelling went down and I felt much happier. Now my next appointment is on August 25 for another checkup and I believe after that is another 2-3 checkups until I'm fully one year healed. So be prepared for a lot of traveling! Traveling by car was easier for me since it was only 6 hours from AZ and I didn't feel like spending more money on plane. i hope this helped!! :)
