Choosing Dr. Zakhary Was the Best Decision I Could Have Made!

In 2023, I broke my nose on vacation when I accidentally walked into a glass door in our hotel lobby. The bridge of my glasses smashed into my nose, denting it and causing a painful split. It was UGLY. It took weeks to heal, and I was left with jagged, gross bumps across the already prominent bridge of my nose. I hated the way it looked. I looked like a witch. My glasses no longer fit properly. It was uncomfortable. I felt self-conscious & unattractive. I always thought my nose was too big anyway and my lips too small, and while I had never loved my nose to begin with, I never actually considered surgery until after this injury. If anything, I always considered enhancing my lips, not changing my nose! :D

I spent a lot of time researching doctors I could trust with my face. What drew me to Dr. Zakhary was her background in otolaryngology, especially since I had previous sinus issues and surgeries (literally had a septoplasty and turbinate reduction exactly 1 year before my injury - to the exact day!). I also liked that she specialized in faces and didn't try to be a one stop shop surgeon for every type of cosmetic surgery. When I first reached out to her office to book a consult, I was super impressed by her staff’s professionalism and kindness. And when I met Dr. Zakhary for the first time, I immediately felt at ease thanks to her warm, reassuring, and confident demeanor. She & her team were incredibly patient, carefully explaining every detail of the surgery and the recovery process. Their attention to detail was remarkable, which helped me set realistic expectations I prepared for surgery and as I got used to my new nose as it healed. I felt like they truly cared about my experience.

Dr. Zakhary went above and beyond for me. She even came in on her day off, a Saturday, to change my cast and ensure everything was perfect! She also didn’t give me a “cookie-cutter” IG nose. She created a nose that complements my other features naturally. Now that my nose is more proportional to the rest of my face, I no longer feel like my mouth is too small and I have so much more confidence! I also look less like my little brother, who looks like Kramer, so that's a relief as well! :P

Trusting someone with your face is a BIG deal. Of course, it was important to me that *I* was happy with the result, but it was also important to me that my husband liked it (of course!). He’s the one who has to look at me every day, after all! I was nervous for him to see the results after my cast came off, but when I walked through the door, his reaction was priceless. Like it just was so pure and genuine. His eyes lit up, and he couldn’t stop gushing about how much he loved it! He even said that I now had a “Disney princess nose”! It meant so much to me that he was so impressed with the results as I was. Even now, six months later, I still catch him staring at me and complimenting how cute my nose looks. Choosing Dr. Zakhary for my surgery was truly the best decision I could have made! I tell my friends and family all the time that she is the only person I will ever let touch my face! She has my trust 110% and then some! :)
