Botched nose - nostrils were same size and tip was a bit bulbous

ORIGINAL POST

Botched Nose

I had a rhinoplasty 2 years ago . My nostrils where same size my tip was a bit bulbous and I had a deviated septum well as soon I came out of surgery I knew something was wrong my nostrils where completely 2 different sizes the left one was higher and shut closed compared to the right one . He blamed it on the swelling and said my nose was difficult which before surgery he said it was going to be easy . Fast forward 2 years my nostrils are so uneven I have a big scar on the right side . My tip is not even I have to always take pics sideways because you can clearly tell they are 2 different noses on each side . My inside nose still hurts and it’s super rough . I was booked for a revision with him but I decided not to move forward with him . If he messed it up once I m pretty sure he will mess it up again. I still have breathing problems . PS their staff is so unorganized and they never answer back with questions. He is over an hour late for his consultations as well.If you all know an actual good surgeon please let me know

You did the right thing and didn't re-book with him. It's so maddening hearing stories like yours. You paid for a service, was promised something, and when things don't work out, the surgeon doesn't take any responsibility! This is so wrong and I'm sorry you had to go through this. I wish you the very best on your next surgery with an ethical surgeon.
Thank you . He said I only had to pay anesthesia but honestly if you botched me once you will botch me again . And after seeing reviews of people saying their revision with him was worst I decided not to go with him
I don’t understand why they accept you as a patient when they know they can’t perform the surgery. We are not their lab rats! This is someone’s face they are “practicing” on, you’re ruining someone’s looks, time and life! Stay strong love you’ll get it fixed.
Money and practice. It's sad, but I think that's often why surgeons say yes.
i had a similar experience with Dr Peter Revenaugh who was my surgeon and he is supposed to be the head of facial surgery or something at Rush. Ugh I hope your revision goes well.
Sorry hun that that happened to you . I mean it’s our face they should pay more attention to what their doing specially if that’s their field and we pay them to make us look better not worst. Did you get your fix ? If so where?
I had the same thing happened to me by him around the same time. It’s disappointing and I’m still depressed
same thing happened to me with him my nose, nostrils, and tip are so crooked and botched and it's so hard for me to breath.
I’m almost 2 years post surgery with him and I still can’t look in the mirror. He scooped my nose and lifted the tip so unnaturally it’s depressing. I can’t breath like before . He ruined my face
It's been five years. My nose now looks good only because I went to one of the top doctors in Europe for revision! The surgery was 7 hours long! Yes, 7 hours! The European doctor had to rebuild my nose with rib cartilage because Shah shaved my nose so much to the point that it was collapsing. He masked the collapsing nose with crushed cartilage and stuffed it in my tip. I had no bridge and a huge tip. That later created awful swelling and scar tissue. My nose was one step from necrosis!
