Rhinoplasty with Baris Cakirm— my nose is very natural

My journey began in the summer of 2019 when I had a consultation with Dr. Baris Cakir. Overall I am happy with my nose, however, his service is very cold. He does not answer questions and he does not go over what he is doing. His response to most things was “this is normal” or “you don’t need it” - which I do understand, but more clarification and reassurance is needed. 

During my cast removal, he was completely silent and I was in and out within seconds. I believe it is very important to allow them time to speak to your patients and give them the opportunity to ask you questions. I understand he is busy, however, if I am paying a price of 35k TL (approximately £5000) I firmly believe that the service given should be immaculate. You don’t get the opportunity to stay overnight at the hospital, now that I have experienced surgery I think it is important to have the option to stay overnight without any extra charge. It is scary to go back home to being along after surgery. 

My nose is very natural and I have not had any negative comments about it. He does not give antibiotics or strong painkillers after surgery - I was given allergy tablets and 25mg pain killers. I have a very high pain tolerance, so I was okay using the pain killers. However, if you are particularly sensitive to pain, I think you should consider this point. 

I think his approach to his patients should be as welcoming after the surgery as it was before the payment. Also, make sure you clearly point out what you don’t want! People usually go on about what they do want, rather than what they don’t want. If you have breathing concerns or any other problem to do with your throat and nose you should highlight this before your surgery!!!!! Other than that, the nose turned out good and I’m happy.
