Where to start.. I’ve wanted a rhino for over the past 10 years, though always hesitated due to different circumstances, main one being not feeling 100% confident with the surgeons I’ve met. I wanted a surgeon that had experience, board certifications, plenty of natural before and afters, good reviews, temperament and mostly one my gut feeling favored. I personally wasn’t going to settle until I found someone who checked all of those boxes.
Right when I was about to give up on the nose all together, I decided on one last consult with Dr. Katz, after seeing some of his work online and positive reviews.
I booked a free consultation and was impressed how much time Katz took with me to not only explain the procedure, but listen to all of my concerns while providing his own input. I was equally impressed with his in office portfolio of before and afters, 100’s of noses of all shapes, colors and sizes that looked so natural. I paid special attention to his work on ethnic noses, as my nose has many of the classic features, and I really couldn’t believe how many he has done and how natural all of the results were on those patients. These photos aren’t on his website, so you really need to go in office to see his work.
After seeing that I felt my search was over and booked the surgery with Manina the following week, who is the sweetest and most amazing person to interact with. Never once did the office pressure me into booking which I appreciate more than they’ll know. It’s a bit ironic that I’ve spent over 1k on consults over the years and ended up choosing the surgeon who’s consult was free and had a “special” going on. Price wasn’t a leading factor with my decision, but it’s definitely something we can’t ignore.
I had minimal bruising after surgery which went pretty seamless. I was nervous before the procedure as I’ve never been put under before, but the nurse Heather, anesthesiologist and Dr.Katz all put me at ease, the medical team were all great to work with.
6 days later I went to get my cast off, let me tell you it looked horrific. My heart sank and I immediately thought I got botched. The nurse Heather and Dr. Katz promised me the pinched/smashed look was only due to the cast sitting on it for so long and it would disappear in a day or two.
I’m only mentioning this since most all the reviews I read on here had such a positive experience on cast removal day. Every nose is a bit different and my journey could help somebody in my situation. All I could do was try to relax and trust the process.
Literally the morning after I woke up to the nose of my dreams. Almost as if I had a second nose job overnight lol. Even my friend who saw me after cast removal couldn’t believe the overnight transformation. I’m now 5 weeks out and still loving the new nose.
Dr Katz did exactly what I asked for and I couldn’t be more happy. I’m so grateful I waited as long as I did to find him. What was once my most insecure feature became my new favorite, and just in time for the 30th bday!
