I'm only writing this because I know how hard it is to live with a botched nose job, and I want anyone going through it to know there's always hope.
got my revision rhinoplasty with Dr. Donald Yoo on September 17, 2019 after a botched first surgery in Vietnam. That first surgery left me with a 4 cm rib incision, pain for over 6 months, and a nose I hated so much I didn't leave my house for 3 months. I cried day and night and was so depressed my hair started falling out. I truly thought I was stuck with it forever.
When I met Dr. Yoo, I remember going in and telling him, "Just make it look good," because at that point I had no idea how to fix it myself. I trusted him completely. Two of my friends had beautiful results with him, and I could instantly see why.
My revision rib incision was only 1 cm, the recovery was unbelievably easier, and by one month post-op I barely felt any pain at all. Now it's been 6 years and my nose still looks natural, fits my face perfectly, and hasn't warped or changed shape. You can truly see what the right nose can do to harmonize the face.
And I want to add this part because it's important:
I'm actually very shy, and I didn't want to post pictures of my botched nose at all. It was one of the lowest points of my life. But I'm sharing this because I want people to know there is always hope, even when you feel like you have none. I thought I was stuck with my botched nose forever, but Dr. Yoo fixed it. He changed my life. And his sweet wife was so comforting and supportive throughout the entire process.
If your first surgery didn't go right, please don't give up. The right doctor can restore your confidence and your happiness.
