CAST REMOVED

My cast is OFF, stitches REMOVED, stents OUT!
Pain level of taking the 4in long plastic pieces out my nose, LOL 7/10. Those HURT. The doctor took them out with two quick quick swipes and it was over but it was a second of complete pain. The stitch removal was uncomfortable but bearable, mostly just an odd feeling. Cotton pads with numbing meds were inserted into my nose before the stitch removal, it made my teeth numb not my nose.
The cast removal was the most time consuming, it was done very carefully by an amazing nurse.
My swelling from the front view is very prominent but I am in love with the results, especially my profile. Most of all, I’m just happy to have the cast off and a straight nose. Inserted my own before & after. One week post-op.
Extremely pleased with Dr.Pippin & his staff.

It’s almost over.

It’s Saturday Night & my cast comes off Monday Morning. I’ve honestly never been so excited for something in my entire life. I want this thing off my face SO BADLY. The pain isn’t awful, it’s being so uncomfortable. My swelling isn’t bad as far as I know and my bruising is still a slight yellow.

Day 4

I’ve mostly been taking Tylenol due to the other pain medications not agreeing with me. I have slight yellowing and puffiness under both my eyes. Sleeping is not the easiest thing, the whole experience has many been a discomfort rather than pain.
