CAST REMOVED

WORTH IT
My cast is OFF, stitches REMOVED, stents OUT!
Pain level of taking the 4in long plastic pieces out my nose, LOL 7/10. Those HURT. The doctor took them out with two quick quick swipes and it was over but it was a second of complete pain. The stitch removal was uncomfortable but bearable, mostly just an odd feeling. Cotton pads with numbing meds were inserted into my nose before the stitch removal, it made my teeth numb not my nose.
The cast removal was the most time consuming, it was done very carefully by an amazing nurse.
My swelling from the front view is very prominent but I am in love with the results, especially my profile. Most of all, I’m just happy to have the cast off and a straight nose. Inserted my own before & after. One week post-op.
Extremely pleased with Dr.Pippin & his staff.

Your nose is beautiful. I am so happy for you. You look great for one week.
Thank you!! I am so excited to see what how it looks & feels at 6 months
Did you have packing in your nose and how bad did it hurt when they removed it?
I have almost like a plastic straw in each nose about 4 inches long. That was actually painful, I won’t lie. My doctor removed them really really quick, he pretty much yanked them out. But those few seconds were complete pain
That’s what I heard. That the packing hurts really bad when removing.
It’s pain then immediate relief because the pressure from the packing is gone
I have not posted anything yet but I have septo and rhinoplasty scheduled for October 8th. I am so nervous whether I will be happy or not. I have a deviated septum and a hump on my bridge. I have wanted this done for a very long time.
It came out so good! How are you liking your results now that everything has settled? I also recently saw Dr Pippen for a septo/rhinoplasty. My nose looks amazing from the profile too, except I’m a little worried whether it’s just swelling or more needing to come off on the dorsal hump. I am not quite 2 weeks post op. I’m hoping at this stage it’s just swelling. So much happened at the cast removal appointment, I didn’t think to ask.

It’s almost over.

It’s Saturday Night & my cast comes off Monday Morning. I’ve honestly never been so excited for something in my entire life. I want this thing off my face SO BADLY. The pain isn’t awful, it’s being so uncomfortable. My swelling isn’t bad as far as I know and my bruising is still a slight yellow.

Day 4

I’ve mostly been taking Tylenol due to the other pain medications not agreeing with me. I have slight yellowing and puffiness under both my eyes. Sleeping is not the easiest thing, the whole experience has many been a discomfort rather than pain.
