One year update

WORTH IT
Wanted to provide an update since I’m now at the one year point. The swelling in my tip has gone down immensely over the past 6 months and I feel like I’m really close to my final result. My breathing is still great and I am still happy that I chose to have this procedure. I feel much more confident overall and am very happy with all angles of my nose relaxed. I’m still not 100% happy with how my nose looks droopy / angled downward when I smile but I’m not unhappy enough at this point to have a revision.

Overall I am happy with my results and am happy that I went through with the procedure. My breathing is perfect and I’m so thankful for that. Dr. Fozo definitely takes a conservative approach with his work which I can appreciate, however, I don’t feel like I 100% for the nose I asked for. We discussed rotating my nose slightly upward at my consultation (since droopiness when I smile was one of my main concerns) but I still see droopiness when I smile unfortunately at the base of my nose. My new nose is definitely a huge improvement from my birth nose but I wish it would’ve been rotated upward more so I didn’t still see the droopiness when I smile. Dr. Fozo said the rotation would fix the droopiness at my consultation and that it “wouldn’t be a problem” to achieve a slightly upturned nose which would help my face look more feminine. When my 3 month check in came and I voiced my concerns about the drooping still being present, he told me that wasn’t sure what I meant and that if he upturned it anymore that you would be able to see up my nose which wouldn’t be cute. He also said it would give me too much space between my upper lip and nose. I thought this was odd since he did not bring these concerns up when I asked for the rotation at my consult. So that has been my only frustration throughout this whole process.

Still very swollen in my tip but here is a 4 week update. Happy with my side profile when relaxed but still unhappy with my droopy tip when smiling, he told me to be patient with the swelling in the tip since it take 9-12 months for it to fully heal. Hoping for my tip to lift more as it continues to heal. All before photos are on left and after photos are on right
