2.5 Weeks Until Surgery

Like many people here, I’ve disliked my nose for a long time. I started noticing my distaste for it sometime in middle school. I’m now 27 years old and ready to make a change. The bridge and tip will be narrowed. Prominent bones on bridge will be softened. Bump at bottom of bridge will be removed. Wish me luck!

Good luck with your surgery. You have a pretty nice nose to begin with and with this surgery your nose will be even more lovely. Your simulation is beautiful on profile. who is your doctor and what is he charging for your rhinoplasty?

I did it.

I’m one day post post op. I had my surgery at 1pm yesterday. The swelling and bruising is getting worse, but I don’t feel much pain in my nose. I haven’t taken any strong painkillers, only Tylenol. There is a lot of drainage. My throat was super sore from the breathing tub. My top teeth hurt a little too.

That’s all for now.

Day two.

Today has been so much worse. My teeth now have a dull ache. I’m extremely swollen around the eyes and heavily bruised. Although I believe the bruising is beginning to yellow. The small bit of pain I have goes away quickly with half a painkiller. The main issue is dry mouth and the overall feeling of uncomfortableness from being so swollen.

Why did your eyes swell as they did, did you sleep with head elevated or flat on your back?

Yes. I slept with a huge maternity pillow for the first couple weeks which always kept my head elevated AND I was constantly icing. My nose was broken so that’s why the swelling was so terrible.
