I Would 100% Recommend Dr. Keyes!

I'm almost 6 weeks out from my rhinoplasty and love my new nose! Dr. Keyes listened to what I wanted which I'm so grateful for; I wanted to still look like myself, but have my nose be less of a focus and just a smaller version of what it was. I had a very bulbous nose that extended a bit too far. I was told by the one other surgeon I had a consultation with (who a lot of celebrities have gone to for their nose) that I wouldn't be able to have a closed rhinoplasty and would have to get an open one, and therefore he could not do the surgery because he only does closed. Turns out he was wrong (and I'm so thankful he wasn't my surgeon after looking at his RealSelf reviews) because Dr. Keyes was able to do a closed rhinoplasty for me and did a beautiful job. The only real pain I felt was immediately after the surgery and the car ride home. Once I was able to eat something and take a pain pill I was fine and the rest of the recovery was more soreness and discomfort than pain. But it was all very manageable and well worth it! I think I only took pills for pain for the first two days and then didn't need them anymore and just used normal Tylenol. Kimberely is always a text away if I have any questions and I've had 4 follow up appointments since the surgery, which I think is pretty uncommon from all the research on different surgeons I did before picking Dr. Keyes. It seems most surgeons meet with you once to take off the cast and then only 2-3 times in the year following the surgery. It's been comforting to have so many check-ups and know that everything is healing the way it's supposed to. Plus they made me feel very safe and comfortable leading up to the surgery and the day of; I knew I was in good hands and wasn't worried. The anesthesiologist was also amazing, she called me the night before surgery to see if I had any questions, and again, I knew I was in great hands! I barely had any bruising after surgery, I took Arnica and did ice my under eyes a little for the first few days, but my bruising was gone after the first week. I was way less swollen than I thought I'd be, my eyes and cheeks were a bit swollen the first week and a half, but really not bad. The tip of my nose is still swollen (that's where most of the work was done), but it's not noticeable unless I point it out and that should go down over the next few months. My bridge is not swollen at all at this point and I saw a few friends that I hadn't told the other day and no one noticed, which is a good thing! I still look like me, just me with a smaller version of my nose that doesn't stick out anymore. If you look at side by side profile pictures it's a big difference, but people don't stare at your nose the way you stare at your nose, so you will be the one that notices the most. But my best friends look at the side by sides and are like wow I can't believe your nose was that big! Lol (with love). It's the perfect time to get a rhinoplasty (if you've been wanting one) because everyone is wearing masks and staying home, so I was able to take the time I needed to recover and protect my healing nose at home. I highly recommend Dr. Keyes and only wish I had done it years ago!
