1 year post-op rhinoplasty - an artist at sculpting noses

For at least 25 years I had wanted to get my nose refined but for many reasons I had to postpone actually doing it. When I was finally ready, I read many profiles of plastic surgeons (and in NYC there's a lot of choice) and visited a few for consultations. Even though I didn't have a bad experience with any of these doctors, I felt a certain lack of connection that caused me to keep postponing making a final decision. When I met Dr. Liotta I couldn't believe that she was so sweet and so generous with her time. She answered all my questions thoroughly and even responded to my texts when I later thought of others. Her office staff is a reflection of her personality: upbeat, patient, calm and caring. My confidence in Dr. Liotta was so strong that I really looked forward to my surgery. The actually procedure was a piece of cake. I had some swelling but that was to be expected. I had stocked up on pain killers, Tylenol, etc. but didn't need any of them. I had zero pain and the recovery couldn't have been easier. (Dr. Liotta didn't pack the nose, as many other surgeons do, so aside from some dripping the first day or so, there was no discomfort at all). Dr. Liotta continued to check in with me during the first week, to make sure all was going well. The results were amazing: it was me but a lot better. One of the things that impressed me about the before-and-after photos on her site the fact was that everyone's nose was different but everyone's final results suited their faces. Her approach is highly individualized. There is no such thing as a "Liotta nose" and that was exactly what I wanted in a surgeon. This sounds funny but I was almost sorry when I had my last appointment because I really enjoyed going to her office! I highly recommend her as a plastic surgeon who truly cares about the comfort and well-being of her patients.
