Elevated bridge of my nose without my permission or knowledge

Unwanted Surgery without my permission or knowledge.

He performed the surgery that we never agreed upon and refuses to be held accountable. I went to this clinic for rhinoplasty revision for only the purpose of narrowing the tip of my nose. It was unsuccessful but I couldn’t complain this part of surgery since it’s “not guaranteed,” however, he did the surgery that I never asked him for: elevating the bridge of my nose without my permission or authorization. He initiated such surgery without my knowledge, this was unauthorized surgery. At pre-op, his plan of surgery picture shows no elevation whatsoever on the bridge of my nose, (I provided a dr's plan picture please see it) thus he was not supposed to touch it from the beginning. First of all, if he knew this is a secondary rhinoplasty then why didn't he take a CT scan of my nose before surgery so he could be more prepared for his surgery? He just decided to proceed the surgery without it.
On the surgery date, I even told his assistant (Dr. Guyuron didn’t come see me right before surgery) to make sure not to make the bridge of my nose any higher at all, he stated “ok,” nevertheless, Dr. Guyuron and his team placed the cartridge on the bridge of my nose that made my appearance significantly change that I developed severe depression afterwards. The clinic refuses to give me this assistant’s name when asked.
I asked him why did he do such surgery and his response was “Normally, Asian people like the bridge of their nose higher.” Unbelievable. So he performed the surgery based on his stereotyped belief when I didn’t even ask him to do so? I paid nearly $20K and he did a wrong surgery that I never asked him for and he refused to be held accountable for his mistake or he has done it purposely cuz he believed all Asian people like higher nose? His stereotyped biased view of opinion or preconceived notion doesn’t apply to my case at all and in spite of that, he did it. I was appalled when I heard him saying that. On top of that, he keeps changing his statements every time I see him for the appointments.
For example, at first he said he didn't place cartridges on the bridge of my nose on the next day from the surgery. For 7 days post op, he still said he didn't place the cartridge but it's obvious he placed it due to significant change of my very higher nose. For the 3rd time post op, I insisted that he placed the cartridge cuz otherwise I wouldn't have this very taller nose than before, then he had to ask his stuffs to bring his surgery notes to him, that's when he finally admitted that he DID actually placed the cartridge on the bridge of my nose. Also, at this appointment he repeatedly told me that "I don't remember exactly what I did to your surgery," so he had to see his surgery notes where he had admitted that he did placed the cartridge on the bridge on my nose. Next thing he told me as an excuse was "it's not guaranteed," well that's for only applies to the surgery we agreed upon, then it's understandable, for instance, the procedure of narrowing the tip of my nose, it wasn't successful but since it's not guaranteed I have to suck it up about the result but NOT the procedure of raising or elevating my nose! I even empathized not to make it taller right before surgery and he still made it higher. I mean why doesn't he see his patients right before the surgery and send his staff? This illustrates how much he care about his patients, I felt that he really didn't care about me. He didn't even come to see me right before the surgery to make sure everything is okay or what I need or what he's going to do. No explanation from him whatsoever on the surgery date. Additionally, he only spends extensive time for the first consultation and not after that such as pre-op appointment, he spends only a couple of minutes and left, not showing any interests what I want. This is one of the reason he ended up doing the surgery we never agreed upon. He needs to spend more time with his parents and ask what his patients need and explain his professional views as a doctor, that's what he's supposed to do but I believe that he failed to interact with me which caused this undesirable results. Nevertheless, he was not supposed to elevate the bridge of my nose as his plan of picture (attached) shows that there's no change on the bridge of my nose cuz the procedure was supposed to be only for narrowing the tip of my nose. If I see any change on the bridge of my nose in the pic then I would raise my voice. But I wonder what happened? And he said "Normally, Asian people like it higher," so he initiated to make the bridge of my nose higher without asking me? This is so wrong. I am highly disappointed and dissatisfied and I am having a horrible and terrible experience to the point that I wanted to die after surgery due to this unexpected nose. And yet the clinic doesn't want to offer any compensation for this wrong surgery. The clinic manager said that "he didn't make a mistake," then what is it when he did the surgery that we never agreed upon? If he did this surgery on purpose cuz he believed that Asians likes higher nose? Then it's simply malicious to me. I didn't pay $20K for having this unwanted and unasked nose from the beginning. This is unauthorized surgery. I am very disheartening.
When I posted my review on social media, the clinic manager called me on the very next day and asked me to remove my review but it is my genuine experience, not sugar-coated or fabricated or nothing but the truth based on the facts. On top of that, she refused to make an follow up appointment to fix my nose (and demanded me to pay another anesthesia and facility fee which will amount more than $3,000) unless I remove my review of my true experience. But I don't understand why I have to pay more money to fix my nose when he made an error surgery? I also remember that she told me on the phone like she was giving me an order “You need to take it down!” I consider this very unprofessional. With that being said, this clinic only cares for his reputations, not patients’ feelings or welfare.

These surgeons love to play god with patients, I swear. The surgeon who botched my face (Jacobs) cut my nostrils so tiny that they can never be revised, I have to look deformed for life because of him. I hope you can get your bridge lowered, at least. Guyuron did Lory Hill's nose, I hope anyone looking for a revision also sees her case and that he did a horrible job on her. I also read somewhere that he likes to sue patients. What a gem. I am so sorry this happened to you.

Insincere treatment at the meeting again

I met Dr. Guyuron for follow up on 3/1/23 and I found him very insincere towards me. He even told me that “you think you are smart but you are not,” and told me that “The case was closed cuz they (Medical board) found you unreasonable.,” (with hostile attitude) which is not true, the complaint case was closed cuz I fixed my nose in Korea and removed the cartridge cuz he did unwanted and procedure (surgery) that I never asked from the beginning.

My original desire was only the tip of my nose to be narrowed but Dr. Guyuron placed cartridge on top of dorsal nose to make it higher by saying that “Asian people normally like the higher nose,” he did his surgery based on his own bias but at the meeting on 3/1/23 he changed his statement that he placed the cartridge on my right side to fill the dent which is an obvious lie cuz I could clearly see the cartridge placed in the middle of my dorsal nose, I could not believe him saying that. He is a LIAR.

On top of that, he tried to force me to sign the contract paper stating that “I would never leave negative comments on social media,” but that was my true experience with Dr. Guyuron.

I realized that he never was sorry about what he’s done to me that broke my heart and found him very insincere. He told me that if I wanted him to make the tip narrower, I have to delete all my negative reviews and on top of that, I have to pay for the facility fees which could be $1,500 per hour, but I paid $16,000 originally for this unwanted procedure that I never wanted. I didn’t pay $16,000 to make my nose higher which he did without my permission. He sounds so arrogant and it seems to me that he only cares about his reputations not his patients at all.

Very rude phone conversation

I talked to the clinic’s manager Suzanne today and I was trying to make an appointment for fixing the tip of my nose cuz that was my original desire of my nose procedure but it was never done. (Dr. Guyuron told me he would do the procedure after the period of time) however Suzanne told me that my reviews are not removed yet so Dr. Guyuron doesn’t wanna see me ever again. So they refused to see me unless i take my true experience reviews down. Suzanne’s tone of voice was rude and unprofessional over the phone.

If the clinic says they won’t see you again cuz ur true experience reviews and not try to resolve the issue when you paid $16,000 for unwanted surgery, this is very unethical.
