How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
- Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.
If you have questions or believe we should re-evaluate a published review, let us know.

When a picture says a million words…
And they don’t even do the actual result justice.
Please read my updated review below. It is long… but if you are considering this surgeon, please! I wish I had paid more attention to looking more closely at some of the negative reviews prior to ever seeing him (p.s.- he’s had them all removed now.)

RUN!!!
I finally feel comfortable enough to post the horrible horrific result from this man who I can’t even call a human being due to any lack of remorse and the amount of abuse and gas lighting he did to me.
For the better half of nearly a decade, I didn’t want to live most days. It takes a monster to kill someone without actually killing them. Worst yet… he liked his result with the horrible dysfunctional nose he gave me.
During appointments he continued to over inject me with steroids leaving permanent dents that he would later try to refill with dermal fillers (which NEVER belongs in the nose as I have been told by multiple other revision surgeons.) He also did not keep to his morphs, so do not trust him!
I consulted with him twice because the first time he was so cold and domineering in his overall opinion all while looking down at his computer the entire time and not even making eye contact with me. It was obvious he was not listening at all to my aesthetic goals. However, I didn’t listen to my gut, and in the 2nd consult over a year later, his demeanor completely changed. He was pleasant and energetic. He also agreed with me on my goals, I didn’t want to change my nose much. I wanted to still be “me.”
Upon cast removal, I looked nothing like the morphs, and he told me in follow ups I had a horrible nose before and that I was crazy to want to keep it. That the nose he gave me was so much better. Who tells a person that? Someone who was happy as being themselves, living in MY own skin? Did he lie to get my business and only do what he originally wanted? Definitely.
The amount of damage he did had world renowned (yes, I traveled all over the states and beyond) turning me down due to the complexity of damage they would need to fix. I had an inverted v deformity (meaning my nose around the septum was caving in because he shortened my nasal bones), a very low and asymmetrical pointy twisted tip with graft protrusion coming through the skin, crooked nostrils, a hanging columella, and NOTHING natural to my own nose was left behind inside making my case nearly impossible, as well as looking like a plastic surgery monster.
Many ethical surgeons turned me down. I finally found someone, out of state, and had my revision just recently. It has cost me almost $40,000 so far and still counting due to traveling for follow ups to fix Dr. Anil Shah’s under $5,000 surgery.
Follow your gut, listen to the negative reviews… oh and watch out for Instagram doctors! They only post their best outcomes!! Plus my nose did not start looking like something completely devastatingly horrible until about 3 years out! He posts immediately after while his clients are severely swollen and/or are only a year later when it’s known revisions can take years to settle. Everyone is different.
Dr. Shah’s team also threatened me that I signed an NDA to not leave a bad review… an NDA they put in front of me in the surgical prep pre-op room the day of my surgery, and after I was already IV’d and doped up a little to relieve anxiety. If they are asking for any form of non-disclosure agreements… RUN!!! Even if you are about to just go under! I’ll regret this forever! It meant he has obvious issues with many countless unhappy lives ruined and he’s trying to save his false reputation since we are silenced. Abuse happens in silence. I was threatened to take my reviews down or he would take legal action. His team relentlessly hunts negative reviews… my review here wouldn’t even pop up when google searched for years. His team also writes fake reviews (look at Shantel S. on yelp! She goes by the name “Shay” in his office. She is/was his patient care coordinator. She moronically posted her photos, like hello! We all recognize who you are!!! She was my primary contact for years!)
If the price is to good, listen to your inner doubts.. it’s better to find someone who knows what they are doing and pay a lot more than going for a “deal.” It is your face!!! You will solely regret it. The surgeon I found who did my revision fix of Dr. Shah’s work said my surgery was one of the toughest he’s ever encountered (he’s a revision specialist) and he was utterly disgusted by what Shah did while inside my nose. I was told I don’t have anything real left, and unfortunately my nose now is solely rib and ear cartilage grafts because shah took everything out. I’m guessing so that he could speed up the surgery to move on to his next victim. He only did my surgery in an hour and a half. If you took the time to entirely read this review, thank you.
Please, from one broken soul to another human thinking you will build confidence after this choice, I plead with you to find someone else, they’re are so many other ethical doctors. Do your homework, trust your gut, and best of luck!

Stay Away!
I had a revision rhino 4 years ago. Not only did Dr. Shah not do what was discussed in morphs but he completely turns you away if your unhappy. He made my nose very long and lumpy. He actually says he thinks it looks great! Everyone I know wants me to go after him for what he did to me, but unfortunately I can only start my journey again to find another revision specialist who can fix me from looking like a Dr. Sues character. Please stay far away from this man... he will ruin your life and give zero remorse. There were red flags all over when he scheduled the surgical room for 2 hours only and charged $4,600. My original primary surgery was 4.5 hours and $8,000. He was also over 3 hours late for the surgery and I feel he rushed. My nose is lumpy to the touch and visually, crooked, I have a horrible uneven tip that is also very hard, my nostrils are crooked and he made corrections we didn’t even discuss. He shaved my bridge so far down and made the tip very masculine. I have a huge scar under my breast where he took rib to graft (where he only offered to treat with a scar laser treatment once during a follow up) and my whole front view of my nose is very long and droopy where the columella touches my upper lip when I talk and smile! He will also make you wait hours in his office for follow ups. He did a in office procedure to fix the asymmetry of my nostrils and raise my columella, but the difference is so slight compared to how drastically it needs to be fixed. I hope this review will help someone else not experience the pain and suffering I’ve been going through for the past 4 years.
