Rhinoplasty, septoplasty, and lip reduction

I had a nose job in 2012 but they never fixed my deviated septum and since then I have been a runner and multiple ENT's told me it would be an issue when I got older (I'm 28). In hindsight, I would have gone with a surgeon with an extensive understanding of the nose! I also wanted a few cosmetic things done, so I opted for a facial plastic surgeon, dr. Anil Shah.
Regarding the lips, I had the unfortunate experience of getting lip injections when I was 18 from a med spa for $150. I asked about the substance and they told me Restlayne. Years later, my lips were still large, if not going. I went to a few surgeons and they told me the woman at the med spa had lied to me and they had injected silicone! I let it grow for ten years until it got a little deformed and went to multiple surgeons to consult about taking it out. This is a rare procedure in america and I went to multiple doctors to discuss excising the silicone and making my lips more even. Real Self helped me with my search so I want to contribute back to the community.
I went to dr. Davis in Miami regarding rhinoplasty and the lip reduction. He said he could do both but I was less keen on traveling for surgery vs being at home in Chicago. Next, I consulted with Dr Lam in Dallas. I was keen on his experience but really wanted to do the nose and the lips at the same time. Third, I consulted with dr. Anil Shah in Chicago. I liked that the OR was right next to the office and it was a mile from my house. He told me he would make 4 incisions on my lips to excise the areas with silicone. Thank goodness I only got injections once--a girl I knew went MULTIPLE TIMES--and we don't speak anymore so not sure how her lips look...I hope she's okay. Dr. Shah has great bedside manner and I liked the results of other women on his website. Although he is not known for lips, he made me feel comfortable.
I am a few hours post op so unsure about my results. I will keep everyone posted.
This journey is scary, even though I have had it done before and the women and men on this platform have been so helpful in navigating and not feeling alone. I'm have to answer any questions!

I’m getting the stitches on my lips removed today!
There is still a lot of swelling on the lips but they look more even. I must admit I was going back and forth in my bed about whether or not I should have done the lip reduction as right now it looks like they will still be uneven and a bit scarred but still is an improvement from before. Posting before and after let me know what you think.

Still healing...

My lips are not healing as well as I had hoped. I thought it would be relatively easily to remove the silicone and restore natural shape but there’s some uneveness from leftover silicone, indents from the wound separating, and scar tissue that’s caused bumps on my lips. I don’t know if it just me but I was told the lips don’t scar but mine so far have. There’s discoloration as well.
That being said, the shape is way less lumpy than when there was silicone in them. I’m just undecided what was the lesser of the evils. I’m definitely going to have to explore filler and/or limp implants. Please let me know if anyone has any suggestions for doctors to research.
My nose definitely has a much better shape from the profile. However my upper bone is still sticking out and my nose is now crooked from the front. However, my breathing is MUCH better from the septum and turbinate surgery.
Dr Shah says he can make some in office adjustments with both my nose bridge and lips. He has been great in understanding and is also not yet satisfied with the results which gives me confidence and peace of mind that my issues will be addressed as best they can.
My worst nightmare was having to get a third rhinoplasty and more work on the lips but I may have to go that route and have accepted it.

I think you look beautiful. I can tell what you are talking about, but only because you mentioned them and I was looking for them. I hope you continue to heal well and hang in there! How would you say your experience has been with Dr. Shah overall? Would you go with him again?
