Like many girls here I was also searching on the internet to find the best rhinoplasty surgeon. I have read every review on this site about revision so I hope I will help others with my review aswell. Please feel free to ask questions about my surgery or experience. I had my surgery with doctor Ilhan on the 26th of September 2018.
My journey started 10 years ago after I had my second nosejob by docter Jan de Jong in The Netherlands. I wasn’t satisfied with the results at all and he told me that he couldn’t help me anymore. So I knew that if I wanted to take all the risks of a third rhinoplasty I had to find the best doctor in the world! And thank god that I found doctor Emre Ilhan!!
He’s the best revision surgeon I could wish for!! Everything he said was true. And he always lisents to what you want as a patient and tries to realize your dreamnose.
Doctor Ilhan is always realistic and will tell you if something isn’t possible. I’m a real perfectionist myself so It felt so good to finally find a doctor who’s also a perfectionist when it comes to noses.
Because my case was a revision I found it really important to meet the doctor before I was going to book an appointment for my surgery. So I had my first consult back in January. I knew exactly what I wanted and doctor Ilhan understood me completely. From the moment I walked away from his office I knew he was the one who could fix my problem.
After 8 months of waiting it was finally my turn. I had 2 consultations before my surgery. It’s really important to know what you want so that you will be on the same page as the doctor. Doctor Ilhan really takes the time for his patients. So my tip will be to use your time with him to the fullest. Of course I had to wait also for hours in his office but it was worth every minute!! His staff will help you through everything and every question. All the ladies who works for him are true angels!! They really helped me with everything and believe me I wasn’t the easiest patient at all!!
Doctor Ilhan isn’t only a perfectionist when it comes to rhinoplasty but he is also a perfectionist when it comes to service and comfortable stay for his patients. The hospital he choose was really a good one! Everything was so clean and good organized that I didn’t need to stress about it. Ofcourse I was scared because it was a surgery abroad and you never know what to expect but don’t be afraid you will be in good hands!!
My revision surgery was a difficult surgery he told me afterwards. It took around 3,5/4 hours and he needed to take rib cartilage aswell to fix my nose. I’m not going to lie the pain was like hell!! But believe me it’s worth everything!! The pain in the rib went go away on day 3, but i was still feeling it a little. I didn’t take painkillers at all. The pain on the nose was more an uncomfortable pain. It was more pressure and the fact that I couldn’t breathe because of the plastic silicones in my nose. When the doctor took those silicones out of my nose after 5 days I was surprised by the fact that I could breath like that. I wasn’t able to breathe like this before! And for that I will always be thankful to him.
My nose is still really swollen after 2 weeks, but I’m already happy with the result. I couldn’t choose for a better doctor than doctor Ilhan. He really fixed my problem and made me a happy girl agian. Do not loose hope when it comes to revision surgery cause there is still hope as long as doctor Emre Ilhan can use his magical hands!!! I will post pictures when the swelling is over so that you guys will see the before and after.
