Mr Cadier is a lovely man but unfortunately I did not have a positive experience.
I had my original rhinoplasty and a necessary revision with him both of which I was unhappy with. My nose was great for a few weeks after my first one until it flopped to the side. This hasn’t been confirmed but with my own research it looks as though I had a collapse due to too much being removed but I can’t be sure of this. My nose has no definition which was my main request, is wonky and flat. I hate photographs 10x more now than I did before my surgeries. I feel like my face has been ruined. I was attending appointments for injections for swelling but these were having no effect on the outcome.
My Cadier told me he couldn’t see the wonkyness I pointed out and suggested it was due to the asymmetries of my face. This felt a lot like gaslighting when people in my every day life were pointing it out and asking if I got ‘botched’.
His colleague told me he felt Mr Cadier may have given me false expectations in our first consultation and then wrote in the notes ‘Shannon had false expectations’. Very diplomatic.
I requested all my notes back and Mr Cadier had written ‘I think Shannon wishes for me to perform another revision’ however this is not the case. I hate my nose and if I could afford another revision with another surgeon I wouldn’t think twice, however I wouldn’t trust Mr Cadier to perform it.
I think about my nose every day, multiple times a day. I hate it and it’s had a huge negative effect on my mental health.
But as Mr Cadier kept telling me hundreds of times every time I expressed concern. ‘At least it isn’t a disaster nose.’
I will be posting my experience on social media as well as I feel people should be aware.
