Life Changing Revision with Dr. Swartout

Where to begin...14 years ago I had a primary rhinoplasty that did not go as planned. My original surgeon removed way too much, and I ended up with a scooped out, over-rotated and unnatural result. I was devastated but learned to live with it. Over time, it began to look worse and worse and I lost my self confidence. I began searching for a qualified specialist who could take on a challenging case. Several surgeons flat out told me they had no idea how to fix it, that I would have to live with it, or they said they were not qualified to perform this type of complicated revision.

After some research, I found Dr. Swartout. It took longer to discover him because he doesn't have an online presence really, but I am SO grateful and thankful I looked at his qualifications. There are so many celebrity docs and Beverly Hills surgeons who have a great Instagram and a good gallery but don't even have half the training and skills Dr. Swartout has. He is a revision master. The majority of his cases are revisions and my case was extremely complicated. He was upfront and honest with what we could expect to achieve. He showed me pictures of his work during my consultation and answered my long list of questions.

It's been 2 weeks since my revision and saying he changed my life is an understatement. I am still swollen but the result is so natural and subtle...he gave me the nose I always wanted. I had to have grafting from my rib to get the desired result and I can't believe how painless it was. It sounds scary but really it's a very small incision under the breast and a few stiches. I was a little sore for two days but I can't say it was painful, just temporarily uncomfortable. 

Dr. Swartout is incredibly skilled, realistic, a master of natural results, and he only does one surgery a day unlike many other surgeons I consulted with, and he has a great personality and sense of humor too. I just love him and cannot thank him enough. If you are considering a revision rhino, you MUST go see him. I believe he is the best there is.

Added some photos :) still doing great and the swelling continues to go down every day. I go back in two weeks for another appointment. He said it will take time to see the final result but to me it’s already such a difference even though it looks subtle and natural.

Just updating a few pictures as I heal. I continue to be very very happy with my results and can tell the swelling is going down every week. Especially in the tip. I am seeing more structure along the bridge and more detail in the tip. Some days I'm more swollen than others but for the most part, healing has been so easy!
