I am forever grateful to Dr. Funcik

This is going to be a long review, but worth the read.

Dr. Funcik is the best of the best. Not only is he a straight up stellar person who serves relentlessly, and loves God and others with all his heart, he's also an incredibly gifted surgeon. After extensive research (and believe me, I know how to research!) I can emphatically state that he is the only surgeon I would trust with my face.

My backstory: I hated my nose for most of my life. It was too big for my face to begin with and I was always self conscious of it but when I broke it in an accident at 15 and had a subsequent partial correction, it only made things worse. My nose was then deformed, still too big and I hated it so much I never wanted pictures taken of myself.

Finally I decided it was time to do something about it. I researched and researched, got personal recommendations and everything. From the moment I went in to the consultation, I knew he was the Dr. for me. He took the time to get to know me, talked to me about my backstory, examined me carefully, and laid out a plan of action. His staff was incredibly warm and caring as well. I liked that the surgery would be done at his own onsite, top of the line operating room that he designed himself, unlike other surgeons who use operating rooms in hospitals or other surgery centers. I liked that he was clear on expectations. He told me exactly what to expect, and wanted several visits with me before the actual surgery. I went ahead and got other opinions because everyone says you should, but they were all subpar (and they were the other "best surgeons"). None of the other experiences were as good. I was set on Dr. Funcik. On the last appointment before surgery, 2 weeks prior, they gave me all my prescriptions so I could get them filled ahead of time plus a comfort care package which was awesome! It had everything I would need including saline spray, gauze, tylenol, a bell for assistance (he has the best sense of humor!), and so much more. Just perfect.

Day of surgery was everything you could hope for. We had another mini pre-consultation and I could tell he was in the zone and ready to operate. He takes the time to mentally prepare himself and get into top performance mode for every single surgery and it shows in his work. We prayed and I was immediately comforted. From here we went back to get prepped for surgery. The anesthesiologist was great, she stayed the whole time. As I was brought into the operating room, the staff did all the safety checks, we prayed again all together and then the anesthesia kicked in and I don't remember the rest. I woke up to doc and the nurse asking how I was doing, explained things to me and told to call with any issues. Personal cell numbers and all and NO PAIN, Awesome.

The week after surgery was not terrible. I was never really in pain, just a little uncomfortable having to sleep upright and not being able to breathe through my nose. No problems, not much bruising either. Getting the cast off was exciting, although there was a lot of swelling, nothing I wasn't prepared for. Results went exactly as expected. We had checkups often which is nice, both to see him and to get/give feedback on how things are going. He gave me some techniques to help with making results happen faster, always appreciated given this is a 1-2 year result process! My results went as awesome and I'm very happy with them. Is it perfect? No, but it's pretty darn close. I don't think it could be 100% perfect from where it came from, but for me, it's superb. It's definitely nothing less than he said it would be, and in fact is even a bit better than could have been expected.

Now I have my confidence back, I look good in pictures and don't have to worry about placing myself just so to get a decent picture. I am forever grateful to Dr. Funcik and the incredible staff that he and his wife have put together. I will be going back to him for anything I would want done in the future. I recommend Dr. Tom Funcik for any facial surgery, he's the best of the best!
