He Fixed So Much! & With a Closed Approach *Gentle, Meticulous, Compassionate*

Man, I had a tough case. And I couldn’t have asked for a better doctor. Literally.. ?I love Dr. Panossian’s approach. He goes above and beyond in ways that other doctors simply don’t or can’t. ?Dr. P’s techniques are advanced!!!! He was able to fix my extremely botched nose with a CLOSED APPROACH! Which is beyond impressive. He took his time in the OR.?Which I found relieving and smart! A gentle meticulous approach is best. ?He is very holistic & natural.
Dr. P has taken on some very difficult facial paralysis & neurofacial cases.
And this meticulous work is why he is also so good at fixing other things - in my case, a very botched nose surgery I had done 8 years ago! So bad I was scared. Until I found him.
I lived with a botched nose and health consequences from it for so long. And because of what I’ve been through, I was very patient & particular with finding the right doctor. ?In fact, MANY people who are in need of corrective surgery’s have asked 1. ) how it went & 2.) who I recommend.
I have been saying Dr. Panossian!
Right now I will explain how bad my condition was - it adds context.
I do want to make it clear - I am stating my exact experience and in no way am I doing so to bad mouth the other doctor - only to explain how bad my situation was.
I will be saying Dr. N for the previous doctors name just so there is no confusion between Dr. N & Panossian.
I wanted my nose done for years. Looking back there wasn’t anything really too wrong with it. ?
I’m a unique ethnic looking person. Which is a good thing. But I had consulted for years and built a repore with Dr. N before deciding to. He said if I wanted it done he wanted to do it. ?But I never thought he would reek so much havoc on it & my life. It was only supposed to be minimal, simple.
But in just 1 short 3 hour procedure my entire septum was taken off and put as a cap graft making my tip look weird. It was upturned, bulky, unnatural. Dr. N added grafts where they shouldn’t have been making it harder to breathe & weren't helpful at all. AND he Reduced my Nostrils! I pretty much had no nostrils!
I’m a performer - vocalist & athlete - I definitely rely on my nostrils! lol.
Dr. N also ended up badly fracturing my nose with just awful, sloppy osteotomy techniques. Honestly barbaric! I have no other way of putting it… When I went to Dr. N's office for a follow, he took both of his thumbs and squeezed SOO hard on my nasal bones/bridge that I heard a “crunch crunch” I said “OW” I was in shock.? He said he was “setting my bones”
Came to find out that was NOT Normal.
My bones were very warped. ?Dr. N also, without my knowledge, aggressively outfractured my turbinates. ?
I ended up with scary symptoms (that lead to Empty Nose Syndrome).
Which even with all the other stuff, was probably the worst of it all.
And anytime I would ask what was going on & why - Dr. N was VERY rude, gaslit me, ignored me, yet would message me back about irrelevent things in inappropriate ways on IG. Which was not appropriate looking back. I was always very easygoing & polite too. But Dr. N completely put me off / caused me a lot of trauma. He wasn’t this way before surgery too either. So?I was terrified!
It felt like I was breathing in dry cold needles for a while and it was hell. It made me very sick & had to drop out of school.. couldn't work normal hours.
It stole my life. The the one thing I loved doing. It stole my energy.
I had to get very painful, expensive treatments. + see the doctors a lot.?Had to start wearing breathing tubes, Q-Tips so my nose wouldn’t collapse & I could get by/breathe easier.
And I lived with this for 8 years!!!!!!!
I healed from the ENS but structural damage was bad. I had awful nasal valve collapse & stenosis. pretty much no nostrils! And PTSD.
I was so put off by this experience that I feared going through anything like this again.
i was so grateful to have found Dr. Panossian.
He had his hands full! But he was able to correct these things like no big deal! And do so gently. It required a 9 hour procedure! Total badass.
Although breathing has only improved 20% it’s still very much healing. Looks great, normal, better, pretty. He was very thorough. That I appreciate! He’s wiling to do the things that need to be done to make it as perfect as possible.?He works on extremely tough cases.?His charity work is extraordinary & says a lot. Facial surgeries are tough? The nose is much more complex than people realize. It’s a strategic balance of function & form.
Why I advocate for patients strong autonomy.
Dr. P.. truly a top expert, compassionate & makes it easy!
I'm very thorough & serious about my reviews experiences. I don't give reviews often or like to too soon so I hope people find this helpful. Because I wish I had seen more reviews like this when I got put into this position in the first place - AI bots & Google SEO really is a thing and i'm telling you stuff gets buried, fake reviews get left. The details matter.
Couldn't recommend a doctor anymore. Especially if you have a difficult case.
But even if you don't - Go to doctors like him! They will prevent you from ever having a difficult case in the first place.
