First off, I'm a 58 year old fit, healthy, active male. I fractured my nose in my 20's, which was poorly set, and which restricted my breathing. After exhaustive research into prospective surgeons, one name kept popped up: Lueprapai Montien. Scores of stellar reviews, testimonials, and YouTube videos.
We finally met, and he completed his initial consultation. I found Dr. Montien to be extremely thorough, very cordial, and a total professional. He is also very fluent in English, which facilitated clear communications. He covered completely and in detail, exactly what the procedure would entail, the projected recovery time, total costs / fees involved, etc. Complete transparency. And he patiently listened to my concerns, and answered all questions to my satisfaction. I agreed to proceed. I believed at the time, and still do, that he is the best at this procedure (rhinoplasty - particularly challenging cases) in Thailand.
And my case was a complicated, challenging one (prior surgery, nasal fracture), but Dr. Montien was more than equal to the task. Using grafted rib cartilage for structural support, he straightened the bridge (removing a small hump), extended the tip, and increased the nostril diameter (to improve air flow).
Was expecting great pain and misery after the procedure, but was surprised how little there actually was. No pain really, other than the rib grafting site, which did not last long. Mainly a great deal of swelling and congestion. Very little, mild bruising. The nose was splinted for about 10 days, which was then removed, along with the internal stitches.
Dr. Montien was fantastic with follow-up treatment. I remained in Thailand for 30 days after the procedure (I was there also for vacation), during which we had several subsequent visits, where he offered suggestions to help expedite my recovery. And since returning home, he has promptly answered any and all questions I've had (via email).
I am now about 90 days post-surgery. Very pleased with the appearance of my nose. There is still some slight swelling in the tip area (which is normal, and can take many months to recede completely). However, and best of all, my breathing is greatly improved. Overall, extremely happy with Dr. Montien's treatment. There was nobody else I would have trusted with this procedure.

Before / After Photos (front) - 90 days post-surgery

Hi. I have attached two photos from the front, both before and after. Apologies for the lighting and clarity on the after photo. I had to take it myself, the lighting was not the best. I will also post profile pics shortly. Still have some residual swelling in the tip, as noted in my initial review. But this seems to improve on a weekly basis.

Update: Profile Pics (before / after)
Persistent408197June 15, 2020
I have included profile pics, both before and after. The before pics were a week prior to surgery, in mid-February 2020. The after photos are approximately 90 days later. As you can see, the bridge has been straightened, and the small hump removed. The tip was also extended, previously it had drooped slightly. This was created using grafts taken from my rib cage. So far, so good. Feels fine, no longer tender. As noted previously, just some residual swelling in the lowest point (tip).
Thank you for sharing your great experience - so happy to hear about the great results! Would you be willing to include before and after photos?
